Why?
Because he signed a contract with the storm when he'd spent the first few weeks of the comp in ressies while we played Jordan Rankin on the wing in front of him?

He hadn't played first grade with us, Can't blame him for signing with a successful club where he was promised a first grade spot.
Ill also mention he was scoring 3 and 4 tries a match in reggies while Jordan Rancid was doing jack for us in 1st grade.

I wish people on this forum would stop worrying about our backs because until we sign at leased 3 class forwards we can have the best 7 backs and we would still be getting beat . Games are won by forward packs
The Broncos have had great forwards for years and it wasn't until they got Reynolds that they have started to fire. Agree with the sentiment though, but let's not forget that we need a real general.

Yes, it was an incredible lapse in judgment by Rabbitoh officials. NFI of the highest order.

On a points basis and calibrating wins, he was responsible for no less than a quarter of their wins last years, more or less steering them into the gf.

On my theory that each game is worth about $4m, that they couldn’t find a couple of hundred to keep him from leaving showed they weren’t across their brief.

It’s not just points, it’s composure and crisp game acumen, his skills and off the paddock persona.

They seriously misjudged the expected improvement in youngsters and rolled the dice for less capable players.

They clung to the belief of mega power from Trell, who only plays half a season through injury, suspension etc.

99% of their fans argued that the club should have retained him, because they understood footy, but their officials were stubborn.

This is why I have faith and tolerance in some aspects of basic fan calls.

Seems like we are not the only basket cases out there? The way things are going, most of our highway players will have retired before we get our act together.

They were disrespectful and disloyal to him. I’m not a celebrity player guy, marquee worshipping flog, but if I was, Renno would be top of my list. Extraordinarily powerful asset, a footballers footballer. He didn’t ask for his full freight either. He tried to compromise.

Getting back to fan calls, our management etc are all supposed to know what they are doing, but the results aren’t reflecting that.

It may be a management team of @Cobarcats, @liltiger, @tigertragic and @Demps etc ( just examples) could produce much better results if given the keys. Hard to do “worser” as one of my kids might say. A lively and enigmatic board that would be.

Make Dennis chairman even.

Where are we on the table? How many years in development are we looking at?

Our future coach hasn’t even been in charge of an U9’s squad for half a game but seems to know his way around an adult shop.

Maybe benji can find a rubber NRL team to f&&k instead of us.

Bag this guy as much as u like but I like that our club has a band member from masters apprentice. Most boards are full of boring stuff shirts with no life experience. Still rocking the blonde long hair, when u have done what he has in his career. You have earned the right too.
Back the team, don’t bag them…

Ahem, the fact that I nominated Dennis as the chairman and your response, clearly illustrates the deserved paranoia about the board. You thought I was having a shot at him. I wasn’t.

I didn’t bag the team at all.

The results speak for themselves.

Facts don’t care about feelings.

Benjis appointment as an NRL coach without so much as coaching a kids 4th grade naughts and crosses squad for 20 seconds is both humiliating and a embarrassment.

No proper process followed, no checks and balances, no criteria, it’s unprofessional and wrong.

Hastings has been weighed down by everyone around him, not the other way around. If the Tigers do in fact give Hastings away to the Dogs with a "you can have him" I'm taking a break from supporting the team.
Because whatever his flaws, which no player lacks, he actually has passion for the game and the team. He wants to win and he wants the Tigers to win, which you can tell from him busting his guts every week with an injured foot.
Rip off the band aid, send brooks packing and leave the two blokes who actually give af in the halves.
Hastings is the only thinker in our team.

Again - The defence for "Denny" Burgesss' position is
- He was kind of a musician 100 years ago and in a band that had some notoriety at some point for a few weeks.

How that helps our football team is beyond me
- Or gives him any type of business acumen is delirious...

Tell billy slater that, he had no training at all in coaching, but he coached queensland to success, go benji.

I don’t think you can really compare origin gilt edge marquee players to a club side, 3 games v a season.

They are virtually the elite of the elite, they need minimum tweaking. So says Gus.

Maybe Penrith, but we can’t even beat their reserve grade outfit.

The Benji appointment is far far worse than Dennis potentially reliving his acid trips when he’s asked to vote on something.

Benji has the job on the matey basis. No other claims for the position.

If there is one, someone post it and let’s unpack it.

The board has lost all credibility. They aren’t worth listening to anymore. Anything goes when you appoint a buddy to such a critical role. So brazen and contemptuous. They’ve abandoned any pretense of professionalism and given the media every excuse under the sun to smash us into tomorrows newspaper.

We are a closed shop, our board is a bunker of orcs, spending half their time hiding from scrutiny and the wrath of members and fans.

Entirely unaccountable and difficult to expel.

The only good decision they’ve made in 4 years is the No Returns policy on Lucy and even then, many posited, with an arguable case, his continued presence may have helped us avoid this impending spoon everybody is anxiously awaiting and none to pleased with. Good job board, well done and thanks.

You can tell it'd be something this club would do though...

He’s an operational player. I think we thank Madge and Hartigan, both gone of course!

Tim has to deliver players Benji can’t de-coach quickly. Interesting assignment.

His brother was also the original drummer for AC/DC

Sorry wasn’t having a go at you, more the general population it seems.
I get what your saying about bunji, but we apparently didn’t have many options. Look I know ciraldo has had the junior grades coaching, but that doesn’t always translate to success. Remember he had a great load of top quality juniors coming through making him look good.
There’s no reason bunji can’t excel with sheens guidance. It could work out better than ciraldo, only time will tell. I like his positivity, and are prepared to back him. Loves the club and is taking a financial loss to do this.
The decision has been made, it’s time to back them.
