Staines can play wing and is improving. Under Sheens, I believe Staines will go to the next level. We always require depth and having a pool of talented and quick players such as Tupou and Staines is a great outcome.

While Laurie played his best game in the NRL he's got to show he can do that week in week out. Why was he there in support yesterday and not once during the previous 16 weeks of the comp?!
Staines is ok, he'd be the fastest player at our club and that alone would get him a spot somewhere in the starting lineup. But at present he's a 350k sort of player. Same as Laurie really.

As long as he gets paid to play wing and Laurie gets the opportunity to develop as FB.

Did Staines have the reserve grade fullback role over Laurie at the riff. Might feel a rocket coming if he doesn’t perform. Competition for spots is what we need.
Arguably because he's seen all the reports of us signing his replacement. He's spent most of the season playing like someone who's position in the team is under no threat.
We should sign this Klein guy everyone's talking about. Proven match winner...
You could say that about nearly all our players. Kelma actually had a crack yesterday. Maybe Tamou's 300th had something to do with it but no doubt all playees benefit when they can sense that their team mates are in the fight.

Apart from talent, that's the difference between the top teams and us. They have a crack every week.
As much as I hate to say it teams like Manly don't have a team filled with origin players but they have a crack every week.

I'd be talking to Tamou about staying part of the squad, being given some time out of training for other interests but hanging around as the 6th or 7th prop. Much better than Woods, and no need to Subject him to KOE when he isn't needed, do it in a way that gives him some dignity and a bit of spending money. I'd prefer uto, offa, pole, twal, Musgrove and Tamou in terms of value for money than any combo that has Woods or an overpriced Thompson.

With the rumours currently swirling, I'd be happy with a subsidised Luke Thompson. Great player with a bit of grunt. Same goes for Nathan Brown on a modest contract. Woods is a backwards signing IMO but one year on close to minimum wage maybe worthwhile given his experience. Staines has skill but is he better than Laurie? Currently on around a half mil which is well overs. Surely we aren't looking at him to play wing unless Nofo is being unloaded.

Brooks had 2 try assists to Nanai yesterday, he has a lot of mistakes and bad judgement calls in his game
There is no chance Staines is on $500,000 , would be more like $250,000 at best

Andrew Johns. He's concerned the WTs have three quality halves and the Knights not so much.
You forgot the Storm forward we bought who had more bandaging then the Mummy.
