I'm hoping he didn't say much as we didn't want to put it out there that we are forcing him to honour his contract even though he has to come regardless unless we back down again.
He did mention that he thinks Eels might have woken up and might of increased there offer but it's too late and if we let him stay the fans will go off.

Distanced himself from the recruitment decisions at the moment. Said it is up to Sheens and the club as he is coach for next 2 years. He hasn't spoken to players to recruit. Will speak to them if he is asked to though.

Really spoke about being a coach that will be there for players off the field in a big way. Get that right and then that helps get best out of them (credited this as something Bennett did so well in particular).

The Douiehi/Brooks/Hastings topic was asked...he said he had an opinion on the next steps, but that is between him, Tim and the club. He did say that Brooks best position is 7 (didn't indicate whether that was at Tigers or elsewhere in the future) and being heavily involved in a game. He seems like a player who has all the pressure and expectation on him and as a result is down on confidence.

This to me is missing the point. Brooks is much better a bit wider of the ruck. He has created a lot of points for us out wide this season.

He did reference his 2018 season around this time saying he took charge during that year and you don't lose that ability.

Staines is young quick and pretty good depth, for fullback and wing. He won't be on huge coin and has the opportunity to improve and grow... don't see how this is a bad signing.

I hope Sheen and Benji are looking to extend Joe O before Nov1.
He has been the player of the year in my eyes and puts in every game.
He also covers quite a few positions.

Very rehearsed and unwilling to commit...which is fine
What's not fine is leaving the door ajar for Paps to wriggle out of his contract!
Shld have taken much stronger stance on what is shaping up as Matto 2.0
