Adam Doueihi #227

The OG thread, I started in 2018.

This guy is a legit threat.
I feel like he hasn't even been playing 100% since returning from injury.
Still finding his feet.

He's got the #6 on lock.
Give him the captaincy too.

Hot and cold performance tonight as I said in the live game thread bur he stands up when it matters.
Kicking was perfect tonight.

He'll be a real problem, next year.
Good work @Adam Doueihi
My fav player

He had a poor first 40 and a good 2nd 40

Agree, fair...

Same as last week.
Like I said, still has another gear to hit.

Next year will be a massive year for @Adam Doueihi

He'll be fit, confident and ready to go.
He lifted when the team needed him to lift . The leadership group should be 4 next year (pending them resigning) AD , Hastings , Tamou and offa .
Hastings / AD co captains with the other 2 as vice .

Yep. It's like he is having problems getting his game together but his goal kicking was elite and he was dangerous with the ball. It was just atrocious option taking in the first half. I thought he won us that game and was our best player.

Doueihi has been terrible the the past few weeks. A few things contribute to that. He is coming back from an ACL, and he is trying too hard. When he takes a back seat and let's Hastings and the 7 (either Brooks or Madden) do work, he looks better. He is a great runner of the ball. He is NOT an organiser. He needs to accept this

I hate fox commentary , but they were right tonight . I think AD is such a competitor that after last week , he was thinking “fark these refs they’re not taking this win tonight “ and was trying to do it all himself . It led to errors , over calling and just bad footy .
When he chilled out and just did his job and didn’t try and super man this shit , he did that anyway . Because he’s that good . Hopefully tonight will be a lesson for him . He is that good . He doesn’t need to force it . To players like him , he will enact his will on the game . It’s inevitable .

I reckon he is one player in our team who can be elite level. I rate him that highly. He has been so ordinary since coming back form injury and I've been disappointed.

He is the guy who will win you games just by putting the ball in his hands.

112 supercoach points despite not have his best game. Things happen around Doueihi. I haven't seen him live but I feel like he must be a big presence on the field. There's just something about the way things unfold around him.

Yep ,but he needs to be patient . That’s not to say don’t get involved , but I mean patient in regards to opportunities . Stylistically he reminds me of waterboarding.
Just perpetually relentless at the line , to the point the defence makes a wrong decision and his power and acceleration, if not top end speed , slow him to create separation , which in turn creates space .
But because he’s not electric and zipping all over the field from the moment he touches the ball , it can feel and look pedestrian at times .

He is the only natural game breaker player we have.

He is a ball hog though. Toa hardly got the ball in set play and don’t think Ken had a run onto the ball outside of hitups.

Very Fittler like in the way he steps up when it matters most though but is ordinary for chunks of the game. Kinda make 10 runs and maybe 2 he breaks/half breaks the line.

Have zero doubts he will be extended the key is who plays with him.
