I think any success with Brooks In the role is completely dependant on Hastings being at the club in the 13 for the same period. No Hastings at lock, no Brooks in my opinion

Agree re Madden. If they’ve offered Brooks an extension, Albeit on a reduced rate, they better have offered Hastings an extension on an upgrade.

Hastings and AD should be first ones extended and then work of the 3rd option.
I will be pissed if we extend Brooks first and missed out on Hastings and /or AD.
If they want Brooks I have no problems with this and like the way they are going about it to reduce his salary next year. TBH with AD, Brooks and Hastings on the field together it was starting to look real good and can see why Sheen's wants it that way.
You have them 3 and add Api and Papa plus all the injured players we have a better team for next year then I thought we would have.

Okay the pathway system doesn’t deliver over night, but you at least try and recruit some quality to make you top eight standard in the mean time. Yeah, I hated when he said we’ll be a force in 2025.

Do I follow another team or stop watching footy between now and then?

Because I can see that we’ll get on a 2-3 winning streak at the start of the year then lose 10 again.. but then come back half way and beat a few, media has a joke about us, we lose the rest of the year.

But what happens this time is that no coach or board is sacked, but we can call it development.

Develop losing ways to stay losing.

Yeah I know but he does a lot of things that go unnoticed on the stat sheet like slow play the balls. Takea ages to be take down. Defense reset He's a dumb player.

Spot on re: contracts…as for the Brooks contract, fact: Brooks could not stand Madge and his footy philosophies, now that Madge is gone there is a belief that under Sheens and Benji, Brooks will recapture his 2019 form….it’s quite a strategic (and smart) play by the club…they offer Brooks 3 years till 2025 at $766 per year…now, if Brooks is committed to the club, he will take it, if Brooks wants to test the market, the club has put a market value of $766 on his head, if he signs elsewhere after Nov 1st from the clubs perspective so be it…

Call me cynical,but that's exactly what is happening...lMO
Don't think we really want Brooks,and he wants and needs a fresh start....but now he has a market value...supposedly......which if matched or exceeded avoids a major dent in our finances
