Um, it's because they get value out of their big money players and they also have had one of the best production lines of junior talent in the comp.

We keep signing questionable players that no one else wants, thinking they'll miraculously get better (they mostly don't). Our highest paid players earn double what they should

They have a beach lifestyle in Sydney, this will always help with recruiting . Small club with big ideas, easy decision if you were a player.

The position we are in we should have a daily hook up with player managers just in case any players are feeling unloved, need a change of scenery. Pascoe probably just reads Buzz’s column.

Sheens will never attempt to talk player signing unless they have signed and there is an agreed announcement. Both party’s have to be ready.
Once teams drop out of the race, news will start coming in.
Look at it this way , hoping of course that I’m guessing close, we probably see nothing from the bottom clubs we like.

As much as I hate , I like Tim’s thinking around loaning players.
Loan them and see if they can cut it elsewhere, before he decides if he needs them or not.

If people want to blame anyone, blame Benji, it’s his team.
He’s young , he’s learning and don’t rush him, I say. Tim is willing to coach for the next two years, Benji is the mould or cast, for the next five years.

Possibly Zak Hoskins and definite Luke Garner are Penrith signings for next year. Smart signings , you and I know it. Penrith is doing nothing special. We can learn and do something similar. Bulldogs recruiting might look flash but as the saying goes ,

Bulldogs came last and then signed Burton, AddoCarr, TevitaPangai,
Vaughan , Burns , Stimson , Duffy, plus a couple more and now they have signed Ciraldo and Viliame Kikau . And a bonus unearth new star like Kiraz

Just to comment on what the shadow said
How many times have we been favourite to sign a player All for it to play out in the media for weeks with media heads saying don’t go to the tigers it’s career suicide I can name at-least 5 big name players who have knocked us back

This is a much better approach we won’t know who they are chasing until they are signed

Some may argue there is nothing going on behind the seens but this Is Tim sheens benji Marshall and Robbie Farah we are talking about they are up to something and I have a lot of confidence in them

I hope this is incorrect. Thompson has had as much impact as a wet sponge at the Dogs.
