Brooks, AD ... both contracted for 2023.
The dolphins would have to want them.
They'd have to agree to it.

Nothing is as straight forward as @Jedi_Tiger claims.

There isn't a bloke in our squad at the moment that's not being overpaid - Bar maybe Pole....
To what level - None of us really know....

Either way, There's some real Bloodletting to happen yet...

Facts are we have to overpay to get talent, Doesn't matter who it is....

I love it when the media can bag us for overpaying said player
- Who's a local junior, never left the club, mid way through his career and in a high paid position.
And then bag us for not over paying to get a busted warhorse from another system.

The only constant - The Tigers have to overpay....
Been that way forever!!

Point still stands though, no one is going to agree to dropping their salary by more than 50% just because....

He has a contract for 2023 & so does Adam.

My point stands also
If either have been pre paid, A new contract can be negotiated for next year....
More in line with market value.

You can put your own numbers on that, But going off opinions here.....
Should be able to sign both on minimum wage..

We're in a bad state.
This is a very dark time for the Tigers.

I'm honestly not sure there's a light at the end of the tunnel....

Waiting for the juniours to maybe, possibly, work out.... 🤔 😅

Brooks has been paid, He isn't getting that money again....
Doueihi - You think he's getting 600+ to play 6 elsewhere?
- Not off this year he's not.

Especially when there Munster, Brown and Munster all off at the same time.
Works both ways... We can offer them something - They can knock us back, But then they have to get that other gig as well.....
Like I said - Write your own opinion on that...
They may well get another gig?
Who knows what other teams have coming through...

Remember there's the likes of Gamble, Taafe, Sharks and Dragons ressies halves not really getting a run atm either....
Do other teams rate our halves better than those type of blokes - And if so, By how much?

We can offer them a deal as you say, but is that going to strengthen us ?

We need to go to the market and start trying to strike deals immediately.

Stefano isn't living up to hype either.

As I've always said (Often overlooked) we've got the best halves we can get....
If we can get better ones, Sign me up....
That goes for all of them....

I reckon I can count on one hand the blokes that are in my top 30 next year.

Lots of flaws is an understatement.

He prioritized his mouthguard over his job which sums him up for me. He ball hogs and his natural traits are him 1st. Not a team player and we saw that clearly last night.
 
It may not be a case of us deciding to let Doueihi go he may have decided he has a better chance of success elsewhere like others before him who we have also written off. There is a pattern.

I don’t see one person sticking up for douehi after that performance. Even his supporters. Compare that to the fan boys of brooks who will stick up for a non performing $1.1million a year player no matter what he does.
 
If I was AD and Storm came knocking I will be packing my bags in an instance.

I bet Noffo is having discussions with his management at the moment on how he can stay down South. He must love playing outside of Olam and Kenny Bromwich (I know he is leaving for the fish next season but Storm will find someone just as good)

It has been a very long time since WT has had a Centre as good as Olam. He is the gold standard of a current modern day centre. Watch his game tapes AJ, Naden and To'a that is how it is done.

Great post.
Storm also lose Smith next year and they'll find someone on $300K a season to perform almost as good, and when Munster goes they'll replace him and it won't be Adam Doueihi.
