Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Well remembering what happened at Parra and Dogs a few years ago, you need an Opposition ticket who present their credentials and ideas and then it’s up to the fully paid members to vote.
Benny E talked about that a while back but nothing evolved.
Its not that simple as has been stated often about the complicated board structure which doesn't allow for member voting on board members.

It sounds like the ultimate power running Wests Tigers is the wests ashfield board so is there a wests tigers board and if their is Do they have any power?
Or do they need the wests ashfield board to sign off on all decisions even football ones ?
Sorry questions just trying to understand how it works because what's been happening does not work .Why do outsiders keep inferring the atmosphere is toxic .
There are a couple of our board members on Wests board as well. Its a very in house set up which makes change very difficult.
look at " who owns the Wests tigers" online and you will see.
Lets just say that whoever is suggesting we sack the board, will be very disappointed.

jake simpkin potentially gone to the dogs
will play backup to reed mahoney
Simpkin would be on SFA money. We’re overstocked in that dept.
The more players we offload, the quicker can start rebuilding
Maybe dogs give us something in return, idk
Would 100% prefer we locked in Jacko quick smarts

So the loans/ releasing of our contracted players just reinforcing how crap our club is and how great the other clubs are - and isn't the media having fun with it. I can see how the loans/releasing players has been beneficial to the other clubs not sure when or if the kickback for us will ever be worth it while we are placed where we are. Great work team.

I think the theory is you’d pay money that you are going to pay a player next year, this year. Say if Laurie is due to be paid $600k in 2023, you pay him $200k of it this year and the other $400k next year. Effectively you now have another $200k to spend next year now.

I get it but the approach has a massive flaw. You can't do that without restructuring their contract which typically means going back to the player and their agent and sweetening the deal.

I think they've done this with Brooks and probably the signings of To'a, Kepaoa and Naden.

Can’t see Tim, Benji and Farah in that photo TSP.
Wonder which rock they are hiding under?
They are out of shot, but I thought I saw glimpses of them in a joyous huddle, pouring beers over each other, bopping up and down singing the anthem.

Because they’ve got nothing to worry about, because they’ve been signed.

The worse things are for Brett, the better they are going to look when we jag 15th spot or whatever under their tenure.

Benji was asked not to bring Sharon into the locker room.

Correct answer would have been, its been a positive experience but look forward to getting back to the Tigers with some interesting feedback about how a successful club operates.
Same with Noffa.
Why though? Haven't we given him permission to negotiate elsewhere for 2023? We have basically said 'p*** off'.
