Wests Tigers Coaches

My take is that there are so few players available. There are not going to be many signings. Maybe we'll get some good ones for the following season post November like we picked up Api and IP.

Interestingly Pascoe apparently stated loaning out Gildart and Nofo had nothing to do with gaining cap relief.
Maybe Sheens is hoping they impress so they can be offloaded perminatly

You'd think that would be the main reason. Is he really in charge?

I doubt he is in charge of everything but you'd think he knows what is going on. I don't think there is much benefit to us in relation to our cap. If we resign players and pay them more this year it might work. I just think it's unlikely.

I realise our incoming coach believes Sam Walker “is not getting paid to tackle,” “that’s not his job,” but gosh, you gotta admire his defence last night against Storm. He saved a couple of tries, and is looking like a GF style 7.

Im not optimistic that the next two years will change the culture of the Tigers.

No accountability.

Removing Madge with no Plan in place has proved to be a failure

Ripped the soul out of the club when we were on the cusp of change.

Yeah - Im hurting
True but we weren't on the cusp of change. We were still going to be a bottom 8 side with Madge in control. Getting rid of him mid season was stupid though.

I think that since Madge was flicked, the narrative around the Wests Tigers has been shone straight at the players and shown up what their abilities really are.

Maybe Sheensy has done the impossible...

AJ, Pauga, Naden and co have done the impossible...they have made Nofa and Brooks look like football savants.

I thought Brook's footy nous was 'limited' and Nofa was the worst defensive winger I have seen.

But these guys have taken things to a whole new level.

To such a degree Nofa and Brooks will march back in like returning heroes in 23.

The ultimate Sheenius chess move?

That is my theory anyway....

The other theory, of course, is that Sheens actually extended AJ and Naden as priorities...and maybe he just has no idea anymore, is the guy we all feared (sacked last three jobs / 33% last time in NRL)...and we are doomed.

I am going to go with the Sheenius move...the mad professor.

It's really frustrating because those players you mention (except for Pauga) are all players who are ALMOST very good.

They've just got too much dumb in their game, that a good coach can fix.

AJ has power and a nice in-and-away, but no smarts.

Naden has decent pace and good strength, but no smarts.

I don’t even reckon Brooks is injured.. sheens is keeping him out of the spotlight

Madge and Noddy seem to like us using 16 against 17. We are so good, lets give them an advantage.

It goes back a lot further than that, next years coach was guilty of doing exactly the same thing on many occasions and quite often putting a winger on the bench who would just sit there. Most od our coaches get the bench consistently wrong

Said it before but how Gardiner
didn't get the gig is astounding,
especially when you consider the
fact that Noddy was pulled from
pathways, an area that we're
allegedly trying to strengthen,
with no coaching experience over
a man who took us to the top 4
in Reggies and has coached half
the players already. Truly inept.
Might have looked too good in the position and not let Sheens get the job?

Agree. You can tell from last years NSW cup and the Cowboys match this year that Gardiner has what it takes. A smarter move would’ve been to sign him as interim and give him every chance to succeed. If he failed then we could’ve gone with the sheens benji experient as plan C….Have we definitely lost Gardiner for next year?

Has anybody considered that Gardiner knocked back an offer to coach the team
