Memories

anyone still have the "Larry Corowa" Record....... send it out ...... send it out. I think I wore mine out or one of my south Sydney friends destroyed it when i wasn't watching. Used to play it over and over Loved the black flash.
Well thanks to P and C 1 ( see below) you can play it all night Hugh. And watch some terrific memories.
Oh to see current Tiger backs scoring those sorts of tries !!!!

Not hearing a lot from our Magpie men.
Lots of good memories with them, please share some with us,
I guess the 1963 GF is a bit painful to remember ( for those who are old enough) especially with the outcry surrounding the ref ( Darcy Lawler) and the betting controversy but a lots happened since then with many fine players.
Let’s get some balance with more Maggie memories !!! After all we are the West Tigers .

G'day Team

Does anyone have a link to, or copy of the 1976 Amco Cup final footage. I would so love to rewatch that game and the Lockwood/Pringle try. I practiced Brian Lockwood flick passes for years after that. We managed to pull off a few "meat pies" back in the day using the exact same move!

Cheers n Beers

The Maggie's are carved into our history literally .Summons is half of the trophy we all play for
True Stevec but I’m talking personal memories and anecdotes similar to what has been written and said about Balmain.
Great games, tries, off field activities.
We heard a little about Noel “Ned” Kelly, the meanest butcher in the business. Hit first, ask questions later etc etc

Cant find a vid but one of the headlines:
1976 Amco Cup - Final The final attracted a ground record of 21,670 to Leichhardt Oval. Balmain's second-rower Dennis Tutty was named man-of-the-match.

Bloody terrific. Thanks PandC1.
Mate are you sure your not thinking if Lionel Roses hit "thankyou"
I didn't think Larry Corowa sang?? Or do you mean something else?
The singing in the clip is not Larry....or is it?

Can't find anything on the web. Probably have to find somone's old VHS tape and get it digitised. I wonder if you could get it from the TV stations or if WT would have a copy?

Thanks to whoever shared this on the forum, as I watch it atleast annually. Loved Taniela. Also, enjoy Benji v Sharks.
Thanks Lauren, terrific - what players they were but liked a lot of the lead up work as well.
Got my old heart pumping with excitement, oh for highlights like that next year !!!
Go Tigers

Who is the forum member who has been posting that he has all of the old Tigers game on VHS.
Anyone remember?

Miss that place. Legends nightclub was the go. That place was cougar town even before the term cougar was coined. If the walls could talk.
The roast dinner was the best when the bistro was at the front looking over Victoria Rd.
30 years just went like that but feels like yesterday.
A few forum legends and myself off-season heading into 2006 - post GF lunch at BLC
