Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It rife through the supporter base. Management has done a disgraceful job of building a club. We're still standing where we were 33 years ago.
Most successful mergers in sport or business usually come up with a whole new concept. (Unless it's a takeover.)

Honestly, if we called ourselves the wombats - pooled the resources together when the merger started and played out of a new stadium, and had one game a year honoring the history of both of the clubs for the first 5 years only it would have been much more successful.

Also, more on-field success would have made most of the issues go away.

In h

In is best ever season for us - He wins 40% of the time....
Kid can play...
Might even improve if he ever learns it ain't all about him.

People saying he's on the hop to a better team - To Where? Which one?

There's not one team in the top 8 that he'll take the 6 jersey
- Even at the Storm, He "might" be a "Chance" "IF" Munster moves on - Or position (But they ain't getting rid of Paps) outside that, Maybe the Sharks
- They can fit him.... The rest, They've already got better.

Now he could move out of state (Out of home) to another team (That he doesn't know)
- Where he's not a local junior and is basically a nobody....

Or - He can pull his head in a touch, Shut the F*ck up and get it done here....
I'm not fussed if he stays or goes - If it's all "Too Hard" for him, He mays well get packing.
The rumours about Storm chasing AD have obviously been player management inspired.
Bellyache would be laughing his head off!

Rather than Staines the player i'd be going after is young Sua Faalogo at the Storm. Livewire fullback/five-eight/winger. Lightning fast, super agile and elusive. Hard working and smart player too. Kicks goals and field goals too. He's crucified Balmain on more than one occasion.

We have a few Fijians at the club now with the 4 Saukurus and Kautoga, maybe they can get in his ear. He is signed up to the Storm until 2024 though, not sure if it's only as a development player though but wouldn't be on much.

He's a young Matty Bowen type.

Definitely agree and posted something similar about him a couple of months back. Must be really good mates with Pole too....as he is always posting Faalogo's highlights on instagram. With a blocked pathway at the storm, we should be looking at ways to get him to come across. Nofa permanent trade??

Loves a goose step!

We are temporarily secure with Jacko and AD They are both signed with us to the end of 2023 season .No other club is allowed to make them any offers for 2024 and beyond till Nov 1
I bet that rule doesn't stop clubs and player managers having conversations
So worst case scenario is top players are offered multi year big money contracts for say 2024-2026 in November this year
What happens next is part way thru 2023 season player asks for early release to new club and performs so to make this happen
Well we could play that game too
There a whos who list of players with contracts only to 2023
So its possible to end up with a couple of more stars mid season next year
Cows got Lucy early

I'm in any player coming thru storm system interests me .They have an uncanny knack for spotting talent

I’m shocked kapow has not been signed by anyone , he still goes ok and would be good for at least 1 year with ClubOp year 2
better than Tamou , but if Tamou wants one more I would give it to him under the new coaching team , these guys may get more out of some who have been average this year , I do think Jimmy wore his team on his chest , just didn’t have the cattle around him , along the lines as others like Brooks , we were a weak pack

Isn’t it funny how rudderless Melbourne were last night without their halfback, Jerome Hughes, a fantastic player. How would they go all season without him? Their great forward pack couldn’t even get them over the line. However, they will come back. As a Weststigers supporter, I had to laugh at the excuses from the commentators. The score flattered the Storms and I dislike Parramatta. Relevance to topic, we need a couple more quality experienced players. Go Weststigers!
