Most successful mergers in sport or business usually come up with a whole new concept. (Unless it's a takeover.)It rife through the supporter base. Management has done a disgraceful job of building a club. We're still standing where we were 33 years ago.
Honestly, if we called ourselves the wombats - pooled the resources together when the merger started and played out of a new stadium, and had one game a year honoring the history of both of the clubs for the first 5 years only it would have been much more successful.
Also, more on-field success would have made most of the issues go away.
