I have to ask the question....why would it have meant anything? People have been calling for weeks for Sheens to front up, show his face, takeover etc. His contract to coach is for next year. Do you see Gus doing press conferences instead of Potter? They share the same role this year.
I understand, Sheens pulled the trigger on Madge, but for him to take more of a role this year publicly would have basically ruined next year before it begins. If Sheens was in charge of everything that has happened on the field up to this point it would be a disaster as far as next year goes. People ( including players) are so stupid these days you need to build a house of cards that is attractive, no matter the substance inside. For Sheens to be publicly associated with failure now, would almost guarantee nobody looks twice at us for next year. As it stands now, we have a "clean slate" and a "new beginning" in 2023 no matter how much bullshit that may be.
