Wests Tigers Coaches

Everyone seems to be directing darts at Sheens for losses since he's been here, I don't blame them.
What's his job ATM?
I refuse to believe Tim is just having a sauna at the COE.
One hope is he's hard it at getting the roster and recruitment ready for next year and that's his prime focus.
Next year he is responsible for the roster.
I still don't believe he's just sitting on his hands and he is on the payroll... isn't he?
What if he's been working hard and has had some success?
I don't know if the same applies to Benji and Robbie.
I think Gardiner could have had a more proactive roll in this regardless of him leaving.
The main thing I want is a good roster in 03 and if Tim needs this time to get it done then so be it.
I also don't believe Tim or for that matter Benji have been sitting around doing nothing for the last few months .I believe they have been busy putting out feelers at all sorts of players trying to get a read on what recruitment possibilities there are .However I think they have come to a cold hard realisation that there is very little interest in coming to the tigers .I would like them to come up with plans to make Wests Tigers an attractive destination and have players wanting to join a club on the rise . Api and Isaiah are just not enough

Why was Brett Kimmorely promoted over Gardiner?? Uncle Timmy needs to explain why this happened because the only time we saw real improvement from this squad was when Gardiner was in charge against the Broncos

Because Gardiner is actually a coach - Noddy isn't....
Coaching this rabble could have ruined a young blokes desire to coach - Or his career as one moving forward....

Noddy was chosen, Because he'll never be a coach - If it goes to shit (Like it has)
It's no harm, No foul.... There's no long term ramifications for the coach (When they're not really a coach)

That's why...

I do not like it one bit what the players have had to endure. Same goes with Kimmorley. Would've loved to have seen Gardiner given that role and held onto certain players. Yet honestly in all of this, its laid bare the depth of our problems and where the club have been going wrong.
Its painful to see how fundamentally bad this team is yet exposes what we need. Depressing but required IMO as it gets to the root of everything.
We've been doing extremely well in every area but have lost sight of our main goal.

We have the best coach WTs have ever had, plus our two best ever players on-board to try and get WTs out of this situation. I have no doubt they will be doing everything possible to resuscitate the club.

I hope Jordan Hill is back with WTs. Hill, Scolari and hopefully Staines will rectify the lack of pace on the wings plus provide an additional fullback option. Blake Lawrie is another I'd like to see at the club if possible.
Heard Jordan Hill is 100% returning, train and trial....

Expect proper confirmation in coming weeks surely.

Massive pressure on Sheens after the mess he created this year. We have to significantly improve to accept this years disaster of releasing chunks of our squad and getting the spoon.

If we're not 12th or better midway through next season I can see the board getting itchy fingers again. Not sure where it leaves Benji if Sheens is gone early.

Lauren, if we've been doing extremely well in every area, then how is it possible that we've lost sight of our main goal?
I also feel for the playing group and think the change process has been poorly managed. I don't think any of the players can feel any certainty about their future with the club based on the past few games. Last year we finished off in the same manner, a 38-0 loss to wooden spooners Bulldogs. There's a level of care factor that can only emanate from the top.

dont panic,it was Sheens job this year to spot/correct the errors across the club.Bunjie wasn;t on the books for this year as head coach.as a team perspective, who would really listen to anyone in their workplace if you got direction from them if their only in charge next year,so why bother.best just to rock up preseason and lay down the law, point out the door, give them all some extremely tuff love, lets rock

I'm sure every educator could attest to the following.
It might be far from running an NRL club or coaching a rugby league side, but our profession centres around growth and learning.
We have a knack in recognising progress indicator levels and barriers but are experienced with implementing strategies to facilitate development.
For me, it's not that difficult to see that we're currently in the early stage (phase) of a rebuild and everything that undermines this is an obstacle. With the only effective solution - to overcome this - is to remove them. I.e. players and a coach who aren't in our future.
We're simply trying to apply a more personalised approach that manages or focuses on improving the strengths and skills of individuals (or team) whilst also considering their needs in order to use the best methods to promote success or get us closer to the goal (recruitment and retention decisions).

People wanted us to stop using the bandaid solutions and now we're doing this but there's a lot of damage to undo or correct.
Honestly think the club (management) were a bit paralysed by fear as we've stagnated and hit roadbloacks we were unwilling to address.

Reliable source mate?
Does it matter? He is 21 years old. Running around for the cowboys Reggie team. Let’s be honest if he is the answer someone has asked an irrelevant question. Might be a nice guy or a complete arsehole I don’t know . But He ain’t the type of signing to turn this club around

As I said earlier thread that Sheens has hardly any time to get this roster organised for next year. To clean out some and recruit other must be a nightmare so I'm prepared to give him as much room as possible to do that.
I know what your going to say... I'm not answering the question.
Unfortunately you and I are really guessing the whys and why nots because we aren't holding the cards.
Until Sheens has been dealt "all the cards" then we can judge.
What else can we do as fans.... Just hope the shite show eventually comes to an end.
I changed my mind, they're all plodders.
Over to the coaching thread. 👍
We have no roster to organise .. it is what it is ..
we’ve got 2 outside recruits coming ..
5 years ….
