Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Hopefully it was the Cardio part....
- If he's been playing busted when we're coming last and have a bunch of other available hookers atm, Would be criminal (Not surprising - Just Criminal)

My guess is that's the line - To get the bargaining down, Or they've found something else?
So if Liddle not going is he still on our books. My understanding is he had another year on contract.
That’s money Sheens wouldn’t have been counting on spending, at least on him.

If that is the case, we may have to look to offload Jake Simpkin or we don't promote Nu Brown to top 30 (and keep him on a T&T).

Then at the end of 2023, we have Api Korisau, Rua Ngatikaura and upgrade Mikey Tannous into top 30 with Tallyn Da Silva on Development by then.

You don’t need to dumb it down for me mate, reading your posts are like reading a kids colouring book…

It’s ok - we all make bad decisions at some point.
So you’re saying we should have been playing Luc off the bench for impact… so who’s our starter - Kelma?
Better than a liability in defence than luch was, u can see that opposition were running their plays at him. Just think/know he’s a 60 minute player at the moment! He might get better with time, but doubt it. Anyway that’s how the game is going, look around most teams are using a impact edge of the bench these days. I’d rather 1 less rotation at prop and keep twal out there longer and use that for the edge.

It's odd when you look at how many older injury prone players saints have signed. Might have something to do with their new coaching structure

I think he’ll probably end up permanently Reggie’s. If we had wanted to keep him he wouldn’t have been talking to Saints.
Or maybe we can retire Ronny Palmer and Liddle can do the water !

You have a hide talking about "Liabilties in defence" here....
Your poster boy is the best one we've ever had.

Looking at the forwards in the SL, I think these guys would be the only ones that could be on our radar:
  • Mikolaj Oledzki (Leeds) - 24, 191cm, 112kg, signed until end of 2025, just made SL Dream Team, prop.
  • James Bentley (Leeds) - 24, 170cm, 95kg, signed until end of 2023, back row.
  • John Bateman (Wigan) - 28, 183cm, 96kg, signed unt8il end of 2024, back row.
  • David Fifita (Wakefield) - 33, 193cm, 120kg, off contract, prop.
  • Alex Walmsley (St Helens) - 32, 196cm, 115kg, prop, signed until end of 2024, prop.
  • Morgan Knowles (St Helens) - 25, 180cm, 96kg, lock / back row, signed until end of 2025.
  • Curtis Sironen (St Helens) - 29, 193cm, 110kg, back row, signed until end of 2023.
  • Kelepi Tanginoa (Wakefield) - 28, 181cm, 101kg, back row, signed until end of 2024, played in Sheens coached 2021 All Stars team.
  • Mike McMeeken (Catalans) - 28, 195cm, 101kg, back row, signed until end of 2024.
I only put Fifita in there in case he comes as a T&T if Andrew gets a 1-year deal with us.

Give the age factor and potential to improve in NRL, I hope we go for Oledzki & Knowles (and Bateman for his experience and proven in NRL).

Anyone who watches SL weekly give any insights on the above?

Good post, watch it often
Agree with your assessment

Lock in dave fifita and curtis. Party like its 2012. Timmy brings in his boys.

Oledzki is a guy I think could cut it in the Nrl. Obviously a big step up out here but he ticks every box to suggest he would be an astute signing. Bateman hasn’t been near his Raiders form. Knowles is very tough defensively and is ok but not sure how he would go out here. I watch every Saturday so I do see these guys a fair bit.

I watch some of his last week he looked like has potential but gee wiz that game was slow. Their video ref most unprofessional I've seen in sport. English league is miles behind on NRL .

I heard Smith on Radio....

He didn't confirm anything - Said that his 'feelings' were, If he was committing to the Storm, Then he would have done it by now.
Which is what everyone thinks?

But that's not what you wrote - You wrote Munster confirmed it.
Which he hasn't...
Thanks for correcting

I think we should round off this thread when we hit page 7000 and rename
1.Recruitment suggestions
2. Rumours of player movements (any club to any club)
3. Roster top 30 ( as is now and projected)
We literally have made hundreds of recruitment suggestions not amounting to anything actual
Always plenty of player movement rumours to talk about
Since we've had like 3 signings in last year and none since Madge left its maybe more helpful to see our roster for 2023 as is which won't come to anywhere near 30 and what we feel it will be say Nov 30 in time for pre season
