That is not really true.

I follow both the NBA and NFL and have done for 30 plus years.

They have very strong CBAs in the NBA.

Players can choose to sign one year deals if they want...or long terms deals that mean they agree they can be traded.

If someone is on 20 million plus a year, they have agreed that the deal allows them to be moved. For that money, anyone would...

The difference is many NRL blokes are on low salaries.

It is difficult to expect a bloke on a two year 200 000 deal to be told he is being shipped to Melb or Nth QLD and he has to move his whole family to a place he may well not be extended at / cut after his deal ends.

He is only 19 and wasn't able to fully hit the gym this season due to back stress fractures.

I can tell you he is a consumate professional, very good tackling technique, runs very good backrow lines & runs hard at the line. You don't make all underage rep teams for nothing!

He has things to work on but don't all 19yos.

John Bateman isn't big either!!!
 
Tumeth plays above his weight, from what I've seen.

Could be a revelation, could be nothing special.
He's one of us though so I'm hoping for the best...

I'd like to see Kautoga & Webster Mansfield also get their chances as @batboy said... Kautoga looks the most likely and (imo) Webster Mansfield looks a very solid prospect.
