Isaiah Papali’i #265

Really, we must be deciding to play with no second row next year.
Well, we have already put a half into lock forward. Maybe a couple of our centre wannabes into 2nd row. that just leaves our props, hooker and interchange bench that could be loaded with props and 2nd rowers. Mobility and attack at all costs.

When he signed, he was coming to play in the forwards with Luciano and Kelma, both good players at their best. We were a bad team but not the wooden spooners getting lapped most weeks. He got along with our head coach who coaches his nation. Tamou was here for some experience in the pack and it looked like we had a decent young spine. (Now none of them are committed long term). How anyone can be very confident he’s coming is beyond me.

Don't disagree....
Although we did sign the best hooker in the comp this year a month after him....

Hopefully there's something else coming to help him out.

The behaviour is embarrassing, despite him not actually doing anything wrong.

I'm off him... until he turns up and starts putting in.

He is getting very poor advice undoubtedly from the club he is playing for at the moment, his manager should just tell him not to make any comments except to say he has a contract which he starts on November

How would we all feel if one of our best players was being interviewed all year and getting asked about going to another club and they were focusing on the new club rather then the tigers? I for one would be pretty angry about it. Especially now when they are in knockout football I’d expect the same sort of answer out of respect to there current team mates coach and fans if I’m being honest. Only my opinion but I think he’s answering the question in a politically correct way. As much as I’d love for him to come out and reassure us tiger fans

That's rubbish man...
Players leave clubs all the time!!!

The response most of the time is - Next year is next year, I'll talk about that next year.
The same as Tamou did before Joining us.

If he simply put it to bed from the get go he wouldn’t continuously be asked. He hasn’t so they do, he’s a muppet.

I can't blame IP about being reluctant to come here.
We are struggling to sign players to improve our position.
Our supporters having nothing good to say about anything to do with the club- for good reason.
Career wise could be a disaster for him and no player is happy playing in a losing squad.
We can't keep openly bagging/ questioning the club on one hand and then be critical of player who is possibly questioning his decision to come here.

Agree, and I for one am putting the Pap issue to rest and moving on to other threads.
Not long and we’ll know one way or the other.

Shouldn’t have signed for the big $ then hey. Good footballer, thick as shit

Let me tell you how it works.
Rupert’s dopey journos have been flogging the Manly saga for over a week and found out that no clicks because basically nobody gives a toss about that lot !
So what to do 🤔
Of course ! Ole reliable bash the tigers and bingo …… instant clicks !

At the end of the day ,we signed him for what would be considered unders after this season.
We payed decent coin for him after one good season,he could of flopped this year and there would be no noise around him trying to backflip, actually journos would probably be saying how bad of a signing it is 😂
His manager knows that if we grant him a release that The Eels or multiple other clubs would pay 800k or more.

Well what about API , he’s in exactly the same situation but happy to talk about his move next year !
Paps is really starting to annoy me with this prima donna attitude.
They're individuals and prepare in their own way

Just cause one bloke does or says something doesn't mean everyone should follow

Get annoyed when the time is right... If that's all that's bothering you life must be good for you

Mate, agree with your comment regarding individuality but let’s face it, they are similar situations.

Anyway , I have a great life ! but as stated elsewhere I am no longer interested in this subject until we have a definitive answer. Cheers.

I hope Eels get flogged tomorrow and knocked out...
This rubbish is getting beyond a joke now when all he has to do is say what Api did and its goes away.. Clearly something is happening and I and a lot of fans will be pissed if we just give in and get no quality replacement..
