Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I think Jacko will stay.

Remember he got wasted by his dad, he got a bad name, punch ups everywhere, banished to esl, we pursued him relentlessly, gave him his chance and believed in him.

And a new lease on life with genuine acceptance and reverence.

We look up to him when so many people wrote him off.

So long as the money is in the range I think he’s ready to stay with us.

And it’s well known he’s a big fan of us fans. It’s a good relationship and his life is in good way atm. Fantastic return season until that tool injured him.

We know he still sees the psychologist to help him through, so he’s not this kind of hero marquee grub.

As a junior, he was compared to Nathan Cleary. That is his baseline. I’m not saying he’s as good as Nathan now, but with a decent pack, he’d be dynamite.

He's nothing like I expected him to be. Honestly had my doubts about him but feel he's already proven to be a great leader.

I think we all had our doubts, but the effort we put into recruiting him was massive.

My understanding is that he was a Madge/Hartigan selection, in a rare moment of truce I guess lol.

I picture them trying to strangle each other and someone good hits the market, then they kiss and hug, sign and then got back into it!

What's the lastest opinion on signing Xerri.
Absolutely.

The right price and he’d be really anxious to prove and redeem himself.

He can do club school runs and lecture kids on the dangers of this drug garbage.

I think he won’t need much motivation to work to overcome his bad name.

Remember he knocked back the Sharks offer of 500k just before his suspension.
If you look at his latest photos of him in the gym, he looks like the hulk. I doubt if he can run like he use to, could be wrong.
How much would clubs be willing to pay for him?

Well all clubs like to gamble a bit and I’d rate him over factory with his X factor.

I think he could command 420-480 to a desperate club.

That could be conservative though. Maybe Gus will put him on the dogs list?!

Do you realise that his family and friends are all dirtbag criminals? The only way he makes it is if he ditches everyone he knows and starts fresh

Well he can’t cut off everyone, but there’s some truth in your suggestion that he takes stock of who is a good influence on him and who isn’t.

There is a banner message explaining outage From KUL at the top when you log in
Nope. I get nothing.
And really there should have been a notice in advance if it was a scheduled update. Kul is making a fortune from us, the least he can do is let us chat and tell us in advance when we can't.

He could even provide some much needed basic enhancements to the forum, but he doesn't because he doesn't care

We can't even sign him for another year. He's still suspended all next season, and can't even train with a side. No idea why anyone is talking about him now
Geez me bad I thought it was next year. I wonder what he's aiming at as far as positions go, he enormous.
Ok next....The hammer. Is he available? Any available fast players left. 😺

Are you using a phone or computer?

The mail I have received suggests that Hastings is very keen to stay. His management are playing it smart and hoping he gets picked for England for the WC and increases his value. He is also eager to play halfback which may be an issue with Brooks close to re-committing, however he seems to genuinely interested in re-paying the faith to the club for giving him a chance to come back to the NRL and would likely re-sign regardless of this; provided the terms are reasonable.

Doueihi is in a similar situation. Missed most of the season and by the time he returned Madge was gone and same with the season. He is looking to have a big campaign with Lebanon to increase his value. Lebanon should easily make the knock out stages so it'is likely they could make a semis appearance which would really increase both Doueihi and Moses value (same reason Moses hasn't recommitted - along with Parra playing finals).

There is confidence that Benji, Robbie and Sheens can get Brooks back on track. Benji and Robbie know his game well (both played with him in his Dally M winning year) and Sheens worked with him very early in his career. They are all familiar with what Brooks looks like when at his best and are focusing on getting his confidence back.

Also heard that the Warriors are going in big for Dylan Brown and are more than willing to make him a 1 million dollar a year player.

Where is your mail from? It sounds very much what's been handed around. Do you know if the storm are genuinely interested in AD and will make a play for him?

Great post.

Well something drastic has to change for Luke.

If we can’t get solid halves, I think the best thing we can do for our existing halves is to give them a pack that is willing.

We really need some tradesmen with a bit of power and leg as when steff was at his peak.

I am also pretty keen on a Dean Young type forward who has a kicking game. The deft grubber that no one expects.

And just for footys sake, without respecting the actual human too much, kikau when he’s on, an intense and dominant attacking forward. The price is stupidity off the park.

Munsters been a massive bender this week. Man of the match for Mad Monday.

Days and days of drinking.

Obviously I can't say where it is from... for obvious reasons. I do hear a fair bit and post on here when/where I can but I also hold back often because much of the info that goes around is garbage or out by clubs/media/agents to serve a certain agenda. Any average punter can see how the media, clubs and player agents play the media game and leak things to serve their own purpose.

Things also change often and quickly so you learn to be skeptical and cautious of information you do receive. For example, people on here do doubt POM but most the information he gets, I do hear similar at the time (sometimes I don't) but it changes or the club/people inside the club have been lead to believe as much by players and agents alike. Things change constantly, there are multiple agendas involved and multiple angles being played so it can be very hard to decipher at time.

In terms of the storm, they're getting very anxious about Munster and Doueihi is on their list but it seems Burton is their number 1 priority if Munster leaves. The Storm are very good at the media game and are probably leaking interest in players to pressure Munster into a decision. As for Douiehi, I don't believe he has interest in leaving Sydney.

Thought Brooks was meant to be going to the knights now he’s staying, I’ll be buggered. I hope he can get his act together but for Christ sake it’s been what 9 yrs multiple coach’s all seeing something. He must train the house down but for mine he’s not a dominant half back, look at Moses tonight pains me greatly to say this but we should have kept that Prima donna at the time and let Brooks walk.
