Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Big yes ✅️✅️✅️ from me for Mitch Moses.
He's improved over the years and has become a really well rounded player.

As the article says he solves our play maker issues.

Interesting these articles keep coming out, around us targeting 6s and 7s.... albeit is most likely speculation, it does make one wonder if Brooks or Adam are out the door....

A spine of,

1 Laurie
6 AD
7 Moey
9 Api
13 Hastings

Is something I really like the look of....

Also - losing Musgrove would be fantastic but we need some more hard forwards for the team asap, for 23 and onwards whilst our young guns develope.

Hopefully we can go to market and improve the pack.
Couldn't agree more. Nobody disliked Moses more than me after his dog act when leaving but he's older and more mature now and might even have regrets about it himself. The bottom line is we're in the NRL to win it and can't be too choosy about who we have play for us. I'd have Lodge, Moses, Xerri etc. I don't have to like them, I want them to win football games. Wouldn't sign Jeffrey Dahmer though.

Dahmer can't defend 😂

Moey is a different player and person now, I believe.

He's elite level within the the current day and be trumps any other option we currently have.

1m player though, can't have Brooksy on 1m also... makes for some interesting movements amongst our roster.

See what happens.

Maybe they want our super junior props coming thru the system to fill his spot, please i have been watching and waiting for a solid front row forward for years and years to come from our system, not going to happen ??????????????????????????????
Herman Tofaeono who was a schoolboy star for Keebra last year & missed a lot of this season with injury.
Chris Faagutu and Justin Matamua will be very good mobile middles.
Jordan Miller.
Add those guys to Utoikamanu & Pole.

And Moses a pretty fair goal kicker as well. An area requiring improvement in WT.

So far as I can see the off-season is all outgoing or retiring and incoming is all speculation. Suggest we don't let any more go till we know for sure who if anyone is coming . Especially keep the few that can be match winners on their day Thats Hastings .Douehi and Brooks who I admit calling him a match winner is a stretch . We desperately need at least one center ,Edge forward and a big front rower to match Steph .Yet to see evidence of players of note wanting to come so hold fire on the releases till we get some good news
Cant build team on suggestions and pipe dreams

I knew his brother Stephen. He played in one of my son's junior teams. He was a lovely young bloke - polite, respectful and a pretty good player himself. I believe Mitch is about to become a father shortly, that should grow him up in a hurry.

Don't know Nick or anything about that.
But if it's given to the Roosters as an asset my understanding it would count against the cap if given to a player.
They aren't planning to give the properties to players, but use them as a revenue stream. Revenue that can be used on facilities, coaching, S&C resources and everything else - essentially throwing money at the football dept.

Musgrove's contract is a bit of an albatross, so would be happy to see him go. There'll be enough middling bookends we can pick up between now and the start of 2023 that can do the same job for half the price.

Would obviously take Moses, as much as I dislike him, but reckon it's even less likely than us getting someone like Munster.

The more we can offload or not re-sign who we know don't provide anything of substance to our mid to long term future is GREAT!

Peachey, Liddle, Kei, Tamou, Roberts, Gildart, Musgrove, Tuilagi, Garner, Madden (possibly others)

With the vacant spots & salary cap, we then be patient and fill these roster spots with our top juniors; players that fill a need and bring the required attitude, capability & leadership; or, elite players in spine/middle positions.

so out of your list of players which are Props, not middles?, and your time frame for this blessing?and unfortunately Utoikamanu, granted has been injured but has gone backwards. and Schoolboys is a lot different to the weekly NRL.

Sorry mate, do your research. Guess again. Nat Butcher played junior footy with South Sydney, Hargreaves with Manly, Collins Brisbane Broncos, & Tupou with Parramatta. Only Manu, Radley & Mitchell Rooster juniors & Mitchell wont have a bar of them. . Development club my bum. Cheating rorters .
I know where they came from.
So your telling me that they were 100% ready to play first grade without any further development. If you believe any 1st grade debuter is the finished product guess again.
And if we were talking juniors, check out where the roosters finish most years in the Harold’s Matt’s and SG ball sides!

You seem to be forgetting the players that have already taken spots out of the players going/gone...

Rua, Pole, Reilly, Fainu... All top 30 next year.
Said it before - Will say it again...

There's not as much room in top 30 as everyone assumes there is.
We're short on functional Props, Back Rowers and Centres

And all the kids will just teach the kids how to play the footy...

#Deadsetkidding!!

I'm gonna put 20 1st year apprentices on my Block of land, Pay them $12 an hour and just come back when they've built a marvellous house - Up to standard...
Just as good as all the other houses in the Street
(That were built by the people who've been around a while and know exactly what they're doing)

They have to stop making the same mistakes. Get rid of William Kei which is great but replace him with Triston Reilly. Go figure. Hope he comes good...
