Adam Doueihi #227

I honestly think he is best longer term suited to an edge backrow position. He isn't quick enough for most positions in the backline.

He needs to get his defense right but I think he can do that.

an adjustment in attitude may be all thats needed Earl, for Adam to live up to his delusions of himself

Honestly if he could defend he'd be a gun 13.

Otherwise maybe centre. Definitely not a half.

"If he could defend"....????????? Huh??

FMD - this is rugby league!!

If you can't defend you have no place in the game - let alone the NRL!!

Touch footballers can't defend - hence why they play touch...!

There are thousands of genuinely quick and far more talented attacking footballers than Douehi who simply can't play competitive rugby league - because they can't defend!

He needs to pull his finger out and locate his shoulders on GPS!!

I don't think his front on defence will ever be strong enough to play as a forward.

He hits hard but he also misses them completely as well. You make a good point though. I think he is too slow for the centres and fullback and lacks some of the skills required to be a top 6. For a player who at times looks like he could be elite at times it's a concern.

They somehow worked out where to play Valentine Holmes. Maybe Holmes is a good example for Doueihi. Holmes worked on his game and played where his skill-set was suited rather than try and play marquee positions.

Totally agree Earl. He's young enough to work hard at playing different positions. Whether it be as a back rower or fullback.
Just put in some hard yards at increasing speed and working on D.
Everyone has to improve themselves every year otherwise they are going backwards..

My biggest concern is the amount of times he gets bounced off front on, he is a big guy that shouldn't need to be hidden in defence. He arm grabs much too often and doesn't chase in defence once beaten. I would re-sign him but it would be as a centre, even then his defence and communication would need to increase dramatically.

Maybe wade graham type, it really could suit him. Extra ball player and kicker

Maybe the Utility Role off the bench or a permanent move to Second Row and model his game on Wade Graham.

From memory new Assistant Coach David Furner was a high quality ball playing goal kicking second rower so maybe AD can be his project.

To me he has only shown on rare occasions his ability. Needs more consistency.

HAVE WE SIGNED ANYONE YET!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WOULD LOVE TO THROW EVERYTHING AT ISLAYER YEO. MAYBE AFTER PLAYING IN THREE CONSECUTIVE GRAND FINALS AND WINNING TWO HE MIGHT WANT A NEW CHALLENGE.
HE IS THE LOCK AND CAPTAIN WE NEED TO BUILD A TEAM AROUND.

Arm grabbing is generally a symptom of laziness in being 1-2 steps short of where you need to be. Poor reaction time to slide or move up.
Was put to me once like an alarm clock if you get up and go on the first bell as opposed to the tenth or snooze bell

I think his defence has only become a discussion point since he has been playing in a Tigers jersey.
The best player at, say, Roosters is a lot different to being given that label at Wests Tigers.
