we were after him last year, would make sense that we're in for him again. JT had huge wraps on him when he first came into grade. seems a very Benji-esque player so not entirely a surprise.

Personally hope it's true, diamond in the rough imo

Loads of potential and could be a star with the right coaching and belief - much better option than Pheniox Crossland who we were reportedly chasing

Obviously fell down on both understanding his players and communicating well with them,

And that is why having younger coaches may improve those channels.
I just hope that they don’t try and do too much too soon.
There has to be an adjustment process with both new( if we have that many) and existing players.
Patience will be required by everybody, especially all on WTF !

I reckon @pawsandclaws1 is correct. It's not necessarily a good thing. Brooks would be one of our best players and I don't think anyone who thinks differently actually watched us with an unbiased opinion this season. I reckon Brooks definitely out performed Doueihi and probably Laurie this year.

Joe O and Hastings were our best. Then probably Brooks.

We came dead freaken last. It's not saying much.

I think our big problem this season is that our top tier players are not guns and that includes Brooks, Doueihi and Laurie.

I just commented on Burton getting $750k per year for 4 years. There is no way any player in our squad is worth that amount and I bet Brooks and Doueihi are on close to that or in Brooks case more.

I think we have a good amount of talent that can come through. Pole, Stef, Blore, Kautoga, Matamua etc. Then we have IP and Api coming to the club.

I think it's all meaningless unless our top tier players step up.

If you get Brooks contract for 750k less the long service player discount on 170k is about 580k on the cap. That is good value.

I don't think that would be enough for him to just sign straight away, he'd be wanting more, especially if it's over 4 years. I'd be fine with 900k over 4 years, but with Ciraldo going there it may be even harder to get him out of Belmore.

He couldn't be a replacement for Madden. Madden is a halfback. An organising player. How good he is may be up for question but Asi is a utlilty back, but most definitely not a halfback. He's mostly a fullback/centre and a bit of 5/8 too.

If Brooks is going to be our 7 we need an understudy who is an organiser, someone who can kick us out of trouble. Asi could be a backup for Doueihi/Laurie
