Don't underestimate the influence of on field leadership in all of this too - not just the coaching staff.Didnt say some of those players wernt arrogant or egotistical. But they respect the club they play for & get nailed when they dont. Just see how Bellemy reacted to Munsters & Smiths acting like poor judgement. When they act like DHs it is swiftly dealt with. That is what we need here first, above buying just the best players. Im not against buying in quality players, but they have to believe that the Tigers can win a premiership, just like the belief Todd has instilled in the Cowboys.
His family definitely live on the central coast or a bit further northAre you sure?
I thought he was born and bred in Sydney....
Merrylands maybe?
I've heard Stories that his old man played footy at a decent level
in the area also as a young bloke.
Dude it's asterisk.Time to remove the astrix from IPAP?
I have my doubts about Lauries ability to defend in the front line.Twal to halfback might be a real chance at this point.
To be fair Talau to backrow has been talked about for years at the club & Laurie at the panthers was viewed as 5/8th for the longer term position. Pole no idea on.
They said we tried to sign him from the dragons or something and he ended up at Penrith, I believe...Someone posted earlier that we were chasing Eddie Blacker and that Penrith wanted to keep him. Must come down to money as Leniu is the same age and streets ahead of Blacker.
Think he is a Blacktown boy. Pretty sure he is not from the MNC.Curran is from somewhere on the mid north coast
Well there is a full off season to see if Laurie can adapt well to the five eight position. No guarantee that will happen. Even if we do land Staines Laurie has not played 6 in first grade only in Cup and he was with the Panthers where even the water boy looks good. Laurie needs to actually play 6 in order to decide whether he will take over and more than likely unless Doueihi is unavailable as well as Hastings he won’t get a chance to play 6.
The comment was made on Sunday, today is Thursday. That's 4 days elapsed so far; you need to cool your heels and give it another 3-6 days to find out if it's true or not. What happened to the announcement in the next 7-10 days?? Was that rubbish or is it still happening
Imo Laurie would demonstrate more resilience in the front line than Douiehi who was targeted successfully by Robinson.I have my doubts about Lauries ability to defend in the front line.
Talau to the back row makes sense, but I’m not convinced that he isn’t better than both of our current centres as well.
That’s the problem Pascoe and Lee should be kept right away from the football department.Who gives a toss what Pascoe thinks? He's not part of the football department and should have absolutely zero say in whether he stays or leaves the club
It used to be us that was linked to every player off contract, released or wanting out of their current contract. Now its the dogs with their magical never ending salary cap.Sullivan reportedly requests a release from Dragons following Ben Hunt sticking around. Bulldogs frontrunners if release is granted.
Would love for us to make a play though!
Musgrove swap for Sullivan.
Brooks swap for Klemmer.
You are correct that I , like all others here want this club to succeed. Once again, I didnt see anyone say punt him. However If you accept disrepect, you get disrespect. It was "dealt with behind closed doors" & in this instance when the disrespectful comment was made publicly, Api should of been made publicly apologise. It would of sent a strong message to him & and all other players the new type of strong culture we are trying to build. Simple as that. You do realize what your saying right?
The player has to be playing for the club & then does something wrong and then gets punished by those coaches right. And in your example Munster & Smith have had multiple bringing into line activities at the Storm.
People are saying punt the players before they even wear our kit for what - a comment or lack of a comment. Like seriously cmon.
On Papa the club made statements and closed it down from their end - they had zero concerns.
On Api they have dealt with it, it’s done. We have zero idea how that conversation/activity went down nor should we.
They both will play and I have zero doubt you and others not wanting Api here will be cheering them on next year.
Dogs building a good Top 60 roster for 2023.It used to be us that was linked to every player off contract, released or wanting out of their current contract. Now its the dogs with their magical never ending salary cap.
Settle down I was just asking as I thought it was early last week.. There alot of crap on here and time flies so thought it was longer. The comment was made on Sunday, today is Thursday. That's 4 days elapsed so far; you need to cool your heels and give it another 3-6 days to find out if it's true or not.
Sheens rates Tuki because he can offload the ball and create second phase play, straight from his playbook. That's a good problem. I suggest they will be spoon fed their NRL learning experiences going up and down grades as required.
You also have to throw in Tukimihia Simpkins whom I believe Tim rates highly 🤔
Keep dry bud 🙂Sheens rates Tuki because he can offload the ball and create second phase play, straight from his playbook.
Absolutely. It is clear he presents a danger to defences with his ability to offload with two or more defenders on him. I am pleased Sheens sees different strengths of players and has the nous to bring it all together in a team.Sheens rates Tuki because he can offload the ball and create second phase play, straight from his playbook.
