Sullivan situation

The move to get Jayden Sullivan out of the Dragons may come back to assurances the club gave to Sullivan and his family during negotiations which took place on a Zoom call. When his deal was being done the message was clear – Ben Hunt would not be at the club beyond 2023. The club obviously didn’t have faith in Hunt, who then produced his best season and earned a new deal. This has the potential to get messy.


Chooks eye back

The Roosters are in the market for an outside back and one player they are taking an interest in is Corey Allan. He is a more than capable winger and fullback but he has not found his feet at the Bulldogs. (SMH)

I think Jason Bateman could be a good one.

I have some reservations over Thompson and Bateman hasn't exactly been tearing it up over in the old dart but if he could reproduce his form that made him a standout player for the Raiders I'd like him to join us....on energy alone he would be good.

I see a lot of comments that no news simply means leaks are plugged and its better to keep recruitment deals quiet until signed .Well maybe but the news that we offered Ciraldo a 5 year deal on big money wasn't a leak it was a really dumb story given to the media by the "brainstrust" and when it was rejected it made us look silly . Since then no leaks no signings no anything
In a month from now hopefully some activity and we don't find put that the
No News thing is simply because there is No News !

Bateman was good at Canberra but he has been nowhere near that form in the ESL

Bateman for the price would be the worst buy we have ever made. With a transfer fee he would be a marquee signing. Give that volume of cash to someone else.

The transfer fee doesn’t count in the cap. If he played half as good as he did at Raiders he is way better than our backrowers of recent times. I’m not sold he’s a great signing but they’re (good players) not bashing our door down.

He doesn't suck. Just not a halfback. Brooks.isnt either. There is not one halfback at this club.
