It could only be 1 of 2 reasons. The bigger $ on offer, or an NRL lifeline.
 
Biggest issue atm might be Sheens rebuilding our pathways and waiting for our next crop of home grown stars to come along, who knows how long that could take. If we cant attract any quality it's just going to be a waiting game.

Let’s face it - Both are coming for the money they can’t get elsewhere, fat head also jumped first because he got advance notice of the bistro menu at the COE.
Klemmer will be a mistake, he’s overrated, old and looks like he needs a good feed. Only looked tough at the Bulldogs with his head shaved.
For me Spencer Lenu has the physique, youth and drive that we should be targeting.
We should have chased hard for the Hammer - we’re allowed to have ONE player that can run out of sight on a dark night!

Klemmer is 28 and at that age would be in his prime.. IMO the coach is the issue at Knights and I would welcome him here in a heartbeat as he adds that mongrel we Big time lack.

28yrs of age is not the be all and end all of his career.
Have a look at JWH, he is still showing other forwards who's the dominant male.
Clem is also a prop who doesn't buckle under pressure of being dominated. He'll put in to show he's not weak.
I still rate him as a premium prop.

I still remember Klemmer shouting Woods whilst captain coffee trying to get him to the dogs a few years ago so a bit sour on him.

Wr nerd quality centres andI'd still love to get Bateman out here...is a risk...but we need mongrel especially after missing put on Munster.

Gunna have to take risks.
