Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

So Des is as good as gone from Manly and again Siebold there in the wings ready to take the reigns from a sacked coach. Interestingly is the reference to Issac Moses players ending up at the clubs where his client coaches are.

'"Another issue faced by the Sea Eagles is Seibold’s agent Isaac Moses.

Moses manages around 100 NRL players and whenever he manages a coach at a club, a number of his players often land there.

Knights coach Adam O’Brien is managed by Moses, and there are seven players in the Newcastle squad managed by him."

The less clubs have to do with Isaac Moses the better and more stable they seem to be.He is a blight when he has any power at a club

Meh just wait until club or media announce something.

Less leaks probably a good thing.

It's not going to matter is it. The news until it's official could be spot on but it can change quickly. I think CCTW stated in his update which was pretty good that things can change at the last second and players sometimes commit verbally but then sign elsewhere officially.

Well Taylor Ball was basically the same playbook as Madge 5 hit ups bomb.
Taylor coached 3/4 of a season of Taylor ball and in late 2015 game the halves a bit more freedom to play within the sets. Stylistically he had us playing with plenty of angles in the attacking zone. Though we did have to threat of Tedesco our the back providing plenty of options and distractions and the speed of Naquama and Simona to centre was effective as well.
One thing we’ve never been able to do is play a controlled game. It was not in Sheens coaching playbook and it appears to have not been welcomed by the playing group by any other coaches afterwards.

Let’s face it - Both are coming for the money they can’t get elsewhere, fat head also jumped first because he got advance notice of the bistro menu at the COE.
Klemmer will be a mistake, he’s overrated, old and looks like he needs a good feed. Only looked tough at the Bulldogs with his head shaved.
For me Spencer Lenu has the physique, youth and drive that we should be targeting.
We should have chased hard for the Hammer - we’re allowed to have ONE player that can run out of sight on a dark night!
I think Klem would be good as he should be in his prime at that age as a middle forward.

If he needs fattening up he can hang at the Bistro with Papali'i and the shaved head should be a snack for the COE barber.

As far as Leniu goes and as the young girl said, "Why don't we have both."

Call it Taylor ball Madge ball or stick any coaches name in there who's players are being dominated by the opposition and don't have the ability, field position, or time, to effect any other play.

You can do everything perfectly and still get smashed. To be fair this happens all the time. Penrith did it to Parra in the grand final.

It's not like you need a huge amount to change to improve significantly but you need the talent.

I think the position we desperately need to fill is left edge backrower. The spine is a mess and not anywhere near sorted going forward. I hope the club though just looks for opportunistic signings at the right cost. Bateman comes across to me as the worst potential signing. Klemmer wouldn't hurt at the right cost.

I see a lot of comments that no news simply means leaks are plugged and its better to keep recruitment deals quiet until signed .Well maybe but the news that we offered Ciraldo a 5 year deal on big money wasn't a leak it was a really dumb story given to the media by the "brainstrust" and when it was rejected it made us look silly . Since then no leaks no signings no anything
In a month from now hopefully some activity and we don't find put that the
No News thing is simply because there is No News !

Listening to his podcast he is very happy with his move .
Early days yet, I don't think he even officially starts until 1st November.

He may be enthusiastic at the moment but it won't be a walk in the park and if there is limited or very little success early on, the happiness may not last too long.

A couple of things you can say about benji he models his life on the question why not and always backs himself.

He'll never regret forgoing working at foxsports for the opportunity to coach the Tigers. We are lucky to have him.
