If it wasn't so embarrassing it would be funny how the Brooks haters carry on. Nearly all them to a man continually attack those who either support Brooks, or at least see some merit in him staying with personal attacks while claiming its the Brooks "lovers" that carry on and continue the constant debate and dribble.
Their hate has made them dillusional. A couple keep it semi measured like Demps and 851. Can't really think of any other poster that hates Brooks that is remotely reasonable and not disgusting in their constant vitriol.
This is exactly the same stuff that got said when we signed Tamou re leadership, attitude etc. We need players who are good now, not ones who used to be good and have magical abilities to transfer their mental skills to others.
In saying that, if we get him cheap I think Klemmer might still have something to offer as a player. I wouldn't expect him to be amazing but he might be better than some of what we've got. All indications are pointing to Bateman being finished. Classic small back rower: dynamic in their mid 20s but for goodness' sake don't end up stuck with them in their 30s.

Staines isn't the Turd but he is an upgrade on Peachey for sure. If that were to happen I wouldn't complain.
Regardless if it's backended or not. It's still a mill and change out of the pocket. You can't justify he's worth that.
If he had won a dally m and took us to the finals and this was the end of his contract before retiring and were paying for loyalty, that's fine.
But we're not and he's not

madden even gets more than that and he IS shite , for a 6 or 7 it is about 600k minimum these days

I'm not an AD fan at 6 but if he is signed at 6 I expect 600k or 650k minimum.
Hope if he signs it is at centre for 475 or 500k

He was coming back from a decent injury last year and looked underdone. I expect him to have a big year this year after the Lebos win the World Cup. If he doesn't, then he can bugger off with his little mate. I'm over carrying players that don't perform.

think it will be restructured like Laurence deal potentially some of 23 incorporated into a few more years to balance out the cap

I think this is a terrible terrible signing. A 1 year deal would be fine.
Find me a player with the equivalent to Stuart’s kicking game and you’d make Sheens a happy man. All went down hill since the kicking genius Prince left the club as Benji and those that followed never could compare. Bombs away Doueihi, hesitant Brooks and lobbing Hastings are far away from what we need from a number 7s kicking arsenal even if we combined all three in to the one player.
(Which coincidently is what our coaching staff is planning by spreading the 3 players out in all the attacking positions in the 13.)
