well you would assume if Ken does in fact head for the exits that a spot would open up both on the wing and in the squad. I'd say Tupou probably gets it and they might then upgrade Hill or Scolari to the top 30.

I don't have the inside information on these types of situations. It's potentially an issue. Sometimes though people perform in dysfunctional environments.

Coaches get paid big bucks to sort this stuff out and make it work.

Not sure Sheens has a good read on anything. Thought he had Ciraldo, has backed Brooks - let Madden go and now "it seems" Brooks is as good as gone. The whole aura some have around him is wearing thin with me. He needs to produce something soon or he is going to be very testy when facing the media every week as a coach next season.

Let's wait and see what happens. I agree that so far Sheens has been a disaster. I think he wanted to keep Brooks but Brooks has jumped. I think we desperately needed some changes in the spine and it's happened. The problem is Sheens didn't instigate it.

I want Sheens to be a great coach who can somehow get the guys playing well.

None of us knows what will happen until the next season finishes. I stated this point maybe yesterday in response to Brooks being played at 7. There is a long time to go until the seasons starts and it's a long season.

Leniu as mentioned previously has better options in front of him, not ruling us out, but highly unlikely. Expecting at least 3 more players to be gone from current top 30 before or during pre-season, Gildart, Peachey & Simpkin. Wouldn't be shocked if Maumalo ended up elsewhere also.

Someone threw up Clifford as an option. Anything discussed there? Oh it would be a dream to have a half that can actually kick the ball!

If you play Hastings at 13 then you have to come up with another spine player. Maybe Staines to 1 and Laurie and Doueihi as the running 6's.

Personally I'd just play Hastings at 7 and Douiehi at 6 and see how they go. There isn't any need to rush re-signing them.

no think if he was trying to fit douhie and Brooks in the team then douhie could have gone to centre and Laurie to 6
think Sheens is happy for douhie at 6 I don't think he wants Hastings anywhere other than 13
2024 you can buy a 7 but 23 may need to go Sheenius and buy an Albert Kelly maybe

Scolari in consideration for round one? Not sure what you're smoking. The kid has played one nsw cup game in 2 years, and some flegg. coming off a serious injury he'll be some way off competing for first grade straight away. But a solid start in nsw cup could see his chances increase. Hill would be in a similar boat, almost no chance for first grade until mid-season at the absolute earliest, if he kills it.
