I’m not getting excited about brooks being punted until I see him run out round 1 in someone else’s jersey. Too many off seasons of 100% brooks going that just ended in heartbreak.

With Musgrove gone we should go after Lodge as well as Klemmer.

This. Pretty sure Lodge is off contract as well so we could have actually have two starting props with aggression and go-forward in 2023.

Every player we have let go by either not resigning and releasing them to another club has been the right decision. Most of us have been asking for the club to turn over players that are just not performing at a consistently high level.
I think Benji knows who they are as he played with them and won't want them here when he takes over as HC.
You add Api, IP, Klemmer if true plus a few more as we have the money and I can really see us turning this around quicker then most think.

I would love to see Hastings extended ASAP, If AD doesn't want to extend I hope we go hard for a Moses or Brown type guy.
Forwards are a big area to improve so adding maybe N Brown, Faffita type guys will add the missing mongrel we lack.

If people don't think we are heading in the right direction they just need to have a look at clubs like Dragons or Knights.. They are taking our players that we want to get rid of and thats says a lot.

Well Sheens did say that several players won't be here next year. I do give him credit with for his conviction.
I just hope that there are no more embarrassing happenings in 2023.

Pretty sure Brooks has got a house in Putney where he grew up - financially set and now his own family. It was always going to be now or never to test himself away WTs

Whilst i agree with much of what you've just said, we do have a bit of a history of going to water every time someone requests an early release.

Matterson, Moses, Lucy and im sure theres other's i just cant recall at this moment.
As much as i think Brooks is a hoax he's still our half back/ 5/8th for the moment and like you say there arent many decent half's floating about certainly not Albert Kelly. Maybe CLifford at a pinch is doable in the short term i guess.

That's the reality for us supporters unfortunately.
Every time we get confident things will turn bang a new low has happened.
It's just been getting worse and worse as the seasons go on.

Our confidence that those good players making a difference let alone last the distance of their contracts just has been worn out due to how bad things have been the last 10yrs or so.

Right now especially with the cap increase for next season I don't see why we would move Brooks on unless we have something lined up. Giving him to Knights without something in return (and not Klemmer)

I am personally disappointed Brooksy is leaving (if true). I was looking forward to him playing under Sheens. I thought he could have bought the best out of him again. Not sure if Hastings and AD are the answer. Let's hope Sheens has a plan.
