Team relocate

The reason is I can pick up on the vibe watching a "home" game from anywhere. A home ground game watched on TV or at the ground is an awesome experience only a one eyed fan can explain.
Being an ex Balmain boy I get a warm fuzzy feeling every time the boys run down the tunnel and slap that overhead facia that players have done for years, you can see years of grime build up from it, its history.
A home ground needs to be there for decades so kids growing up can remember little things like this. The same goes for the jersey. Imo it should be relatively the same for decades because once again we supporters can identify that jersey is "us"
I can vividly remember the Western Suburbs Victa jersey or the balmain big tiger and the "V"
As I said, I'm more concerned with a home ground being there for decades so my ggchildren can follow the same team that I loved before they were born.

Well they pay for the Macarthur Junior comp and sponsor the West Tigers so I dont know about them putting nothing in. Balmain put nothing in, maybe you were thinking about them.
Good on them for putting money into the junior comp but they haven’t actually put money into the club since 2014. The only Leagues club that is affiliated with the Wests Tigers is Wests Ashfield. Wests Campbelltown don’t do anything for the club in terms of helping them make money anymore since 2014. Apart from the junior comp they have nothing with us. Maybe one day it’ll be repaired but for now its a mess.

Sponsoring us is putting money into the club. Being a sponsor got the chairman his position.

Even so its still not that good. Hopefully the relationship between Tigers and Campbelltown improve one day to actually possibly base the club there but its still a long way from happening.

No thanks
I think the club has the numbers on members attending LO and CSS
if it was cut and dry we would move, otherwise you alienate half a supporter base dumb move
I’d say those numbers are the way they are because the regular Leichhardt attendees won’t travel that far south.
It’s no surpise that our greatest number of fans at games was when we playing our most attractive brand and our best season win / loss records.
Go through the individual game attendance numbers in 2005, 2009, 2010, 2011.
I’m confident it will get back to that level but in saying that having only the two ground options for games in 2024 may encourage the other half of the fan base to attend the games at the other home ground.

True, but your claim that they have nothing to do with the club is ridiculously wrong.

We do need to be smarter with our identity.

Stop changing the jersey every year, choose between Ctown,Lchardt, homebush or at least ditch one!

Ashfield give us our cheese, so lets make us the team of the inner west, and keep a partnership with Ctown only.

And lets sort out our name 'Wests tigers' are not on. 'Wests' is slang or short form.

Lets call ourselves Western Sydney or Inner western Sydney.

Let’s not.

Relocation is half measures. Fold the club. Give one of the other punted clubs a run at the NRL.

Newtown seem to have a decent following. It’s their turn. Give ‘em 20 years and see how they go.

I think Newtown are done to be honest. I see your argument of re-promoting them as the inner west team of Sydney whilst we go to the Macarthur region, but I think they will struggle to gain traction as Newtown, in 2022, is an area that is 76% homosexual.
Footy isnt big in that community. Usually things like fashion, makeup, dance music is what the community is into in that suburb.

Best post of the year.
Doesn't @Demps Live in Newtown?
Sussex Street?

What dont you like about this idea?

Hey lets go with your idea! Why not add Perth and Central coast to our home ground list, and have 7 jerseys. And three logos.

Great idea for team identity.

cktiger logic.
I know this is out of the box but what about relocating to North Sydney it has not been mentioned before I remember sitting Under a fig tree years ago should still be there it's just as good as Perth

I dont mind this idea, as importantly, North Sydney borders Ryde/Balmain so its a good chunk of existing tigers territory next to unclaimed land.

The reason why WT merge fails so hard is they are trying to merge territories that dont even dit next to each other.

Its like if Melbourne and manly merged =Melbourne/manly Storm. Doesnt make sense.

It only works if you define western suburbs as the old school Ashfield area=Aka the Inner west.

That would work.
