@batboy do you have an affiliation with Brooks or something? I get that you don't think Jacko & AD are the answer for our halves problems fair enough, but if the last 9 years have taught us anything Brooks isn't the answer either despite having the most opportunity of the 3 to prove otherwise.....

Amen to that, I like Brooks, and hope he goes well at Newcastle, but doing the same thing over and over again here is just insanity

Game management/footy knowledge is a massive advantage for at least one player to have on the field. We have been lacking that for awhile.
The Rosters won the GF with Cronk being on field only for those reasons when he had his injured shoulder.

Exactly. It's Brook's biggest downfall. He's the dumbest half I've seen play the game. The number of times he takes the wrong option is mind-blowing

Mate you want to know what clubs like Melbourne & Roosters do when halfbacks have mediocre seasons? (Croft, Flanagan) they get rid of them because that's what good clubs do. They don't sit here making excuses for one player as to why everything goes wrong & how he's not at fault. I'm not saying that the sole of our problems are Brooks fault & Brooks responsibility because that would be unfair & not true, but it's been 9 years & he still hasn't developed into the halfback we expected to him to be & I don't think he's going to do it at the Wests Tigers. There was an immediate difference in the Parramatta & Souths game when Jacko took over the 7 & done majority of the talking & general directing of play which for mine Brooks has shown he's incapable of.

Then why are Newcastle wanting to move their current halfback and replace him with Brooks?

Yea .I think the money side of things has got to be right on the klemmer deal.tigers have shown they are trying to get the cap right and keep it right
Maybe that's what is holding up alot of signings for us

Foxsports article has a list of players off contract, Graham, Lodge etc and it has Andrew Fafita as likely going to Tigers
Just like Brooks and all the other signings I don't think the media has a bloody clue what Sheens is doing
When we signed Papali and Api no leaks I suspect no leaks this time when someone is signed too

How silly would it be though.

If we get Klemmer and Joffa we have 60min+ props.
Stefano is a 40min+ prop
Add Twal who can play 80mins
Joffa and Twal could play other forward roles at a pinch (not fulltime but in a game situation)

Fafa in 15-20mins spurts would offer more than Woods from the bench impact wise.

I think often people just look at a name rather than the dynamics of how they would fit into the team rotations.

If we have to have one of Woods or Fifita, it's an easy choice for me, Mr 2040 losses out every time

Madden was played at 7 ahead of Hastings when Brooks was out.

I would take A. Fifita over Woods eight days a week. At least you know if his knees hold up on him he'll have a go. Woods is a pre-diabetic oaf who dicked the club as captain. He can worry about his media gig.

He looks great at times. He was coming back from and ACL injury last year. Hopefully he gets a good run at 6 and we see if he has it or not.

Andrew Fifita for 1 year coming off the bench is not a bad outcome at all, he can still do a job…. Not all of the top 30 is gonna be astute signings

Woods however can piss off - left us to drown as our captain and tried taking our best players with him leaving our club in disarray for the last 5 years bc of it… I’ll never ever welcome him back or consider him a tiger after that

I think the current management dont understand the level of Hurt and Anger that Arron Woods gave us fans.

Our then captain left us for the dogs.

I will be very very disappointed if Woods is back at our club in any capacity.

His kicking game is a direct result of Forwards getting bashed
- Just like Clearys kicking game is shit in Origin when the forwards getting bashed earlier this year.
- The same as Mitchell Pearces kicking game was shit in Origin when the forwards get bashed.

If you've watched as much footy as you're claiming - You'd know this.

And finally, I could easily put a Highlight reel together of Brooks kicking to and getting results with
quality players (Features quite heavily in Tedescos Tigers highlight reel)

Madden is gone and I'm assuming Brooks is gone. Hastings was really the 7 whenever he played 13 in that he was organizing in the middle.

I'm hopeful Hastings gets a good go at 7 and Doueihi at 6. Then we see how they perform.
