Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Haven't seen him, but sounds like he's a running player, a fullback or 5/8 rather than an organising type? Not sure that's what we need but I'd take it just to try something different

Agree. I’ve only seen one game of him against Samoa I think, & he carved them up with his running & passing game. Granted the opposition were off but the ease at which he was putting his team mates away was classy. With all the blokes we’ve cut the last couple of months I wouldn’t mind seeing him in our squad fighting it out for the fb or 5/8 jersey especially if Hastings stays at either 1/2 or lock.

Naden until 2025 was a real head scratcher.

I don't mind To'a. Young and had a go. Has a bit of speed and ability. May never be a world beater but not everyone is.
Naden is a significant step up on our other center options, with maybe the exception of Doehie who doesn't want to play there anyway. Toa and Kepoa are not strike centers but could improve under Sheens (look what he did for Ayshford).

Weren't we deep in talks with Parker from Manly? That has gone quiet so maybe it was all rumour...

Those last 4 signings are going to be definite upgrades IMO. First grade ready front rower (Klemmer), second rower, centre (TBA). The mutual option for 2024 would be the reason WT may seek to ship Maumalo off early, particularly with some young outside backs coming through the ranks. Interesting Saukuru only has a DC for 2023. Wouldn't surprise if Seyfarth wasnt retained either beyond 2023.
Saukuru spent the majority of the season on the sidelines injured (only played half a dozen games I think). I guess they will see how he goes with more games under his belt and re-assess. Hopefully has some luck staying on the field and can show whether he is worthy of a Top 30 spot for 2024.

I'm one of the supporters that originally came from the Balmain side but fully support Wests Tigers as a merged joint venture, while still appreciating the history and memories of the 2 foundation clubs that had been around since 1908.

Having said that up front I just cannot understand why and how our KOE team is not branded Wests Tigers. In my opinion this should flow through to the junior grades as closely as possible as well.

To me it is a no brainer that if there was one way to display a sign of strength and unity it would be to be playing under the one brand and to be one of the clubs that does not draw NRL players from a reserve grade team that has little geographical or historical connection to their NRL team.

I have to laugh when some of these NRL clubs have to change which reserve grade side they have an affiliation with, when in our case it would be so easy to make a strong show of strength and solidarity and have everything under the one banner.

How do these clowns on the board expect supporters to get behind the Wests Tigers when they are actively creating divisions.

I fully support celebrating the history of our 2 great foundation clubs and hold events that celebrate that history but after more than 20 years isn't it time to go forward as what we are now which is the Wests Tigers.
I come from same road as you and feel same ,When the JV happened I decided to forget past and 100% support Wests Tigers and only Wests Tigers and I feel it should be obvious to those in charge that our image needs some repairs and naming our reserve grade side Wests Tigers will make a statement to the NRL community that we are united and strong

The NRL knows Uncle Nick has friends where it counts
Its so obvious the roosters can have a star studded team already and when a superstar comes on the market guess who can fit another big star in
ITS THE ROOSTERS !!
every club should have to publish a list of top 30 with salary and third party amount next to each . Come on Mr Racing minister publish the list or accept that your comp is not an even Playing field

Except the Rorters would not publish the "superannuation funds" they all get when they retire!

I would offer Wade Graham a contract if we can get 8 to 10 games out of him for 200K would be worth it origin and premiership winner short kicking game and would help the kids if he plays more then 10 it's a bonus and if not at least it did not cost the earth there is an interview when he speaks about his time at Penrith then going over to the Sharks and a change in additude and training it's a risk but could be worth it
