I used to own a share in five kingdom but when it was owned by David Hayes. We sold it after to leg operations and it came good.
The only other one I own now is Nevada Smoke (ex godolphin horse we bought)he runs up taree way he is ok had about 2 wins from 8 starts
Do you do this as a living or for a hobby mate?

OK, you may have heard this - New online Bookie in OZ Betr.com.au is posting odds of 101 for all horses with a maximum bet of $10 bucks. They have locked the 2 favorites at $10 (9-1). So back the 2 favs at $10 each & 8 others for $10 each and Good luck - that $100 may return itself around $900 if you pick the winner & if the 2 Favs win you get ur most of your money back for the $100 outlay. The deal finishes on Saturday. Bet responsibly. Bet Early.
Although is the promo only available for a max $10 per account on the race/one selection only? I did hear about Betr, and now see they’ve started advertising too.

yep got on to it and opened up account
$ 101 odds
$ 10 max bet
I went Gold trip
you can’t draw the cash out if it gets up it’s bonus money , so you need to punt it again to get cash if you lucky
Sports bet are doing a $ 100 bonus bets tomorrow for derby day
it’s in Bets with mates

Just a hobby mate, I used to be in the industry 20 years ago though
Cool, I love horses. It turned me off the racing industry when I heard about the over abundance of failed race horses and mistreatment but I believe now it's really good how they retire.
Race horses love to race, you only have to see one lose it's jockey and they still run....sometimes the first one home 🙂

It's $10 for the two faves after they got smashed, but they opened them at $101 also. I had $5 on each for a potential $500 collect.

They also have next year's premiers all at $101

Betr have changed all their promos because they had way too much riding on it. They got lucky with Loft getting scratched though. I'm on Hoo Ya Mal I think at this stage but that can all change once final fields are confirmed Saturday night.

One of my sons got on Deauville Legend @ 100/1 for $10 so with scratchings it will be fave for sure. Not that faves have the best record but it’s certainly a good bet.

My bad, you can't have more than 1 bet at $10 max. I loaded 10 donkeys and they only accepted my last selection DUAIS - Cummings, come home for pappa!

Back whoever @happy_tiger picks
Do you guys remember Geo calling me the KOD ...just don't go hunting me down if it doesn't win lol many years ago I used to mark the boards at the Gladstone Turf Club put everyone onto Oompala to win the Caulfield Cup ...ran 19 lengths last ....the boys were pelting me with ice lol .....ran third in Cup at 66-1 2 weeks later

Was speaking to James Ferguson trainer of Deauville Legend yesterday (he used to train my horse Hemsworth in England) he is very very confident it wins the Melbourne Cup , price $6
Deauville Legend has drawn a dream barrier and now Lofty is scratched it looked the main danger

I used to ride track work back 20 years ago at randwick so know a few of the trainers pretty well. They are all good to the horses.
FYI Mr Hemsworth is set to trial at Wyong on 8th November, it's been working pretty well so will be interesting to see how it goes on a track like Wyong

That's great to hear, can't half tell I'm an animal lover 🙂
Horses must be one of the most awesome animals on the planet.
When a winning horse comes back to the winners circle in front of all the adoring fans they seem to soak it all in as if they are excited and loving it....is that true or us it just adrenaline.

some of the thoroughbreds know when the crowd is cheering for sure.
They are well looked after, in winter they have heat lamps in the stalls at most of the big trainers.
The issue with the foreign horses when they come out here is the tracks are quiet firmer than what they are used to, even the goodntra kanin Europe would run on a dead type track here, they don't even have a fast rating over there and they water their tracks.
I know with Mr Hemsworth Anabelle Neasham initially worked him on the course proper then we sent him for a spell and he works on the beach down the coast, gets the miles in his legs on a softer surface

Considering horses lower legs are tiny in comparison to it's body, running on heavy tracks when they're not used to them surely must be tough for them.
