Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I think we’re all confused TT, who knows the what, why, where and how of any of these developments. I’ve got the feeling that there are still a few crazy decisions to come !
I wonder if the COE Barber can give us the good oil 🤔

AD should be cleaning out the fleshlights in the showers.

How quickly some of you forget.
He single handledly won us games
Last season and was touted as
A future captain by many fine
observers of the game on here.
He then did his knee, came back
strongly, broke a few games open
and now people are shitting on him.
Based on fluff articles about how
he's shopping himself around?
Tigers fans are the real basketcase

With Klemmer on his way and potentially Bateman we can afford to play a young gun in the pack like Matamua now. There is plenty of experience to drip feed our youth into the team.

No doubt with the Sheens /Benji coaching style we’ll see The lock as a more mobile ball playing forward that can link with the halves. Bateman is a smaller forward that from what I remember has a high energy rate. Matamua seems slightly bigger with a free running creative side to his play.
Lock seems to have moved away from a middle that just plays long minute. Hopefully we don’t need that as much now.
If Klemmer is signed for 2023 our prop rotation looks much better than what we’ve had in recent year.

Might not be news to some from wwos
Newcastle is poised to ship former State of Origin prop David Klemmer down the road to Concord in a player swap with Wests Tigers.

Nine's Danny Weidler reports Tigers five-eighth Jackson Hastings has signed a three-year deal with the Knights and "will start with the club within a week".

In return the Tigers will get Klemmer, who had a good 2022 season form-wise for Newcastle but is eating up a significant chunk of the club's salary cap - believed to be in the vicinity of $800,000 for next season.

Cleaning out the fleshlights is a great honour. My dad let me clean his when I was a young fella.

One of our top 2 players imo

I wanted to keep him myself tbh JT.

Jackson can piss off if this is true.
Disgruntled because he can't play
7 and doesn't want to play 13.
There must be something about his
attitude that doesn't sit right. I think
he's a bit of a 2 faced show pony.
One face in private, one for the public.
Pissed because he was still contracted.
If the contingency is letting him go for
Klemmer than so be it. He's too
slow. It might slide in the ESL not NRL.
The minute teams cottoned on
to him and how he plays the distributer
he was proven preety ineffective. Got wrapped
up and slowed down the set with his
play the ball. At least Brooks scores
tries and has speed. Not that bothered

Brooks has never played behind a dominant pack because he can't organise. We've had plenty of good forwards in his time here.

Why did the same pack with Hastings in the 7 hold up against teams like the Storm, Parra, Souths etc but couldn't do so when Brooks was in the 7 instead.

God I don't get this club.
