With the lack of quality halves running around I'd be over the moon if we had Ponga and Hastings.

Ponga is one of the highest paid players in the game, brilliant at times. but seriously dissapointig.

There's plenty of blokes he picked every week undeservedly - They all have favourites.

Sheens even convinced underperforming blokes to backflip on deals at other clubs to stay

Usually with club media teams, they’re advised of things that are close to happening before it’s confirmed, but aren’t told until it’s official.

But it’s also different for every club in terms of how transparent the football staff are with the media team.

That’s also the reason why some clubs get so much more access to team content/dressing room vision than others.
Some coaches don’t like that stuff being made public because they think team discussions etc. should stay private, whereas some aren’t fussed.

Seems sheens and co like to give very little to the club media.

Really tho, a big media production by clubs is taking away from the hand that feeds them.

Next year up 2 to 4 places, Hope higher but with so many new faces, and kids, and new coaches , don't expect miracles, Expect big signings for 2024. This will get us about 10 or close to 8. More big signings and Benji starts as coach. The crystal ball gets cloudy,as does the forum and idots on the forum are still talking about Hastings , AD, and Brooks! Imagination is wonderfull is it not!

Please - if Sheens saw him as our future 13 he would have blocked him from going, would be negotiating a contract extension and wouldn't have gone after Bateman. He is a 7 and always has been but he was never going to be our 7 while Brooks and Sheens are at the club. Newcastle going after Hastings couldn't have gone any better for Sheens - probably instigated it himself.

Hastings hasn't always been a 7.
In England he played 1, 6, 7, 9. 13 here. 6 at manly.

Just remember the Williams we have been watching for the past few weeks is very different from the one that left the Raiders.
Maybe English conditions suit more ie pace of the game not as quick.
He was pretty mediocre when he left.
