If they don't extend Laurie and AD, the crying for Hastings will seem trivial, slit writs everywhere !
Why did it take Pascoe 10 years to wake up to what was needed as far as recruitment and retention.Ouch
CEO Justin Pascoe says the club has identified a clear recruitment and retention plan, one that is being executed aggressively. As a club we are obviously not satisfied that we finished last in 2022 and tough decisions need to be made,” said Pascoe.
What about the dead wood he's cut out?I've been critical of him so far. He tanked last season and we've only just signed Klemmer. We need more signings. IP and Api were Madge signings.
Things are looking up though. He has to keep it coming and more importantly we have to actually win games next season.
Yep…gotta cut some to add some. What about the dead wood he's cut out?
Sheens also got the Staines-Peachey swap.
If they're good enough, they're old enough.Stupid Idea.... Stop saying it.
Repeating it relentlessly isn't going to make anyone swallow it.
Give such an important positions on the field to a kid, Who's done absolutely nothing to very little.
In 2 years time, If he's still here and playing in that position - Look at it then.

wouldn't blore play second row and Bateman potentially lock ?If you don't agree with it, post a measured response.
I don't think Matamua will be thrust straight into the starting side. I can see him given some spurts of games at lock & on the bench but I wouldn't be surprised to see either Shawn Blore & Fonua Pole train at lock in the pre-season to see if they are suited to Sheens/Benji-ball as linkmen as well as strong runners (tick) & strong defensively (tick).Matamua into 13. We want to make the most of the experience we have around him next year. He is a great talent. Ofahengaue does really well for us at prop.
I'm keen to see all these lads have a good crack in NSW cup in 2023.For sure bra...
I'm all up for giving him a run off the bench for a few weeks here and there....
He's a development player, What's the rush.
I'm running Rua at lock before Matamua....
And even he's a way off from giving him a full time start.
Bateman will be lock, correct.wouldn't blore play second row and Bateman potentially lock ?

Blore ain't a lock, imo. There's about 6 blokes in the squad in front of Matamua for that position...

Frizell is good, but I think Bateman adds an X-Factor to the pack. Frizell is a bit like like Papalii - hard running, dynamic - but probably coming down the other side of his best which can be a problem for players who rely on their athletisism to be effective. Bateman has a bit of guile, unpredictability and mongrel which would be great given our likely halves pairing are not so creative and are more run first players by instinct. Api and Bateman can be the creative spark. I would take either Frizell or Bateman but if we could only have one I say Bateman.Would be good if we went for Frizzell who's apparently available too
8. Stefano Utoikmano
9. Api Korisau
10. David Klemmer
11. Isaiah Papalil
12. Tyson Frizzell
13. Joe Offaanguae
14. Fonua Pole
15. Alex Twal
16. Aaron Woods
17. Shawn Blore
Don't hate Bateman I think he could provide a lot, however Frizzell is more proven and also available

Good post. This is the section I enjoyed. We have players who can play lock but do they have ability to be the linkman?I don't think Matamua will be thrust straight into the starting side.
