For a club that's meant to have stopped the leaks seems to be a lot of info getting out about possibles and probables, reasons why etc....no secrets in NRL just got figure who is worth listening to.

Pretty sure the Bateman stuff got out because the whole England squad were talking about it at the WC. Don't think alot of it is coming from the club these days

Luke Brooks is 160cm (6 ft ) tall, I don't think that qualifies him to participate in disability sports in the classification of dwarfism.
I don't get why some of the posters on here think it is funny to put down people with disabilities, it shows a lack of respect for people with disabilities and should be banned on this forum.

Just on that point, the captaincy will be a very interesting decision.
Sometimes the coach doesn’t have to stress about it coz the most appropriate choice becomes clear to all.
No need to force that issue, and may change during the season anyway.
Imo I doubt even if MM joins us, he would get that gig.

Did I read somewhere that Moses looks like joining us for 24 provided Brooks is still here?
The club might not extend Brooks until Moses signs so you never know.
Some are saying it's done but some are saying we have a meeting with him next week so that doesn't add up.
Anyone in the know know if this meeting has happened or happening?

Now he is coming as long as we keep Brooks (& pay the manager his percentage of a new contract).

I would not pay $1.4 million for Moses , would go to $900,000 maybe $1,000,000
Would chase Williams the pm 1/2 , better value at around $700,000

Besides, I’d just about pay 1.4 just for a goal kicker! So many games are won on small margins. How much more so a classy in-field kicker, X factor, speedy and creative half?!

I'm not the brightest star in the sky, if the ESL salary cap is aud$3.73M why doesn't Sheens go all out for Welsby, plays the important spine positions we need improvement, fullback and 5/8 before another nrl club makes an offer for him, and would be cheaper than moses and munster.

It was almost common knowledge at the WC that WT made offers to Bateman and Welsby, along with Williams and one or two others. Whether anything comes of it or not, who knows but the money's on the table.

Agreed. And with the proposed cap raise on the table from the ARL, the 1.1-1.4 figure isn't quite the gouge it normally would be.
