Yes, our skills base was so evidently below other teams last season it was embarrassing. That was one of the reasons I thought Maguire had to go.

I think Talau should be on the interchange bench- fresh backrow forward and able to cover backline if we have an injury to the main backs during the match.

On the subject of AD, he certainly is not worth anywhere 900 and I don’t know a club that would fork it out…but one thing he did offer was passion and there were only two others that consistently showed passion and they were Hastings and Joe O, and of course Hastings is gone. You Need passion to win the big games

I don't believe Bateman lacks in that Dept and Klemmer certainly has demonstrated it over the years, Doueihi put himself in the transit lounge with his price tag. We're yet to see how that ends.

I remember this post from respected poster @CCTW hinting a move to the middle of the park for Talau may just be his calling.

A lot of people sleeping on Junior Tupou as well, very raw yet exciting junior can be a star with the right guidance

I have a feeling Feledy and Tupou will be our long term centres moving forward

He is the sort of player a team like Riff need. Minimum contract, experienced back up for injuries, suspensions and rep season. He has very little impact on your salary cap yet can do a job if and when required. Clubs like the Storm love these players.
As for us we have plenty of them but they are not on minimum contracts!!

Sorry do not see it - i personally hate when people try to put players in positions that do not suit them. Toomy T was an average 5/8 in his juniors and was more of a runner than passer hence why he went on the wing in early stage of his grade career - guy is an average passer and reader of the game also does not have the engine to be an 80 min lock. In all honestly, I do not rate the player but happy to eat humble pie if he proves me otherwise.
