2023 Pre Season

Pretty much ✌️
How have you been ? Won’t lie I’m quietly optimistic for next season.
Get back in the lad

Me too huh, quitely optimistic re —
going to be better than next year
that's for sure. I think Tupou going
to have a good year as well good shout
he will come out of his shell in '23.
big year for Talau too, his footy
career is riding on his nxt contract.
Let's get a few more signings before nxt year, quitely optimistic as always haha

Strange one Tupou ,had zero hype, barley any highlights also.
But looked to have all the tools to make a pretty handy outside back

providing he stays injury-free, Shawn Blore is the breakout star of 2023 for mine. brilliantly talented footballer who's had a horror run with his body. if he can have a strong pre-season and get through the trials he is going to kill it.

After reading through those prior, what do you know, the ultimate one is the opinion that matches mine. Was really liking Shawn's form after finally getting back on the field in 2021.

Your highlighted disclaimer of staying injury free is the only, yet a major question mark on it for mine.

Not sure on the true meaning of the @WT2K naming of Brooks, plus he doesn't meet my "breakthrough year" possibility list requirements. I am though sure that we will see a return of the player that used to have a smile on his face, along with his and others of this forum.

Maguire strangled the joy out of this club, particularly so for Luke, along with it's supporters.

Just watched a few videos of the COE launch, and very impressed with how he speaks.
If he can keep his body right, he could be a real leader in the coming years.

Disagree Sheensy,

I would say that years of giving up on the field and poor recruitment strangled the life out of this club and its supporters...

The Madge Era failed largely due to the garbage cattle we had on the list. Re-watch Tales from Tiger town.

Anyway, Lets get back on thread

Madge failed to lift the club to a new level…. I think his strict approach, which was old
School, wore thin quickly…. This new coaching regime has got it right and it’s the right balanced approach

Bro this is a repost from me when he first signed. I knew him from rugby circles. You can't train natural ability..he's a sleeper f'sure. Gonna b good.

Some good clips from St Edmunds XV. I only timestamped notable involvements ...

3 year old clips. Plays wing 14, fullback 15 & outside centre 13. Special kid, look forward to seeing him develop in our colours ...

4:04, 4:20, 5:15, 6:03, 6:16, 8:51, 9:12, 12:13, 13:32, 15:30, 15:41, 16:18, 16:41, 17:03, 17:23

Here here. Sure ain't wrong

He simply couldn't coach the WT, even JT left us in the better position.
He actually left the place in a terrific position.

No overpaying for the sake of it, Api and Papali'i on the way and heaps of salary cap space which has been able to be used for the likes of Klemmer and Bateman.

Compare that to when Ivan left us with big contracts tied up on Reynolds, Packer, Mbye etc.

When JT left us, he'd just forced Farah out of the club, pissing off the likes of Tedesco in the process.

I actually remember you posting this 👌
You also said the club was keeping him quite ,which I still think they are .slow build ,not rushing him and expecting miracles

The way JT shafted Robbie was also one of the reasons that Tapau left as well it wasn't just the money
