Does make it hard to keep all the LB content in the ‘last and only’ thread.
It’s almost like you would need to have only the one thread altogether with the amount of collusion that occurs in the other threads.

Yeh exactly mate, I couldn't do it because of what you said, there are too many detours that people wouldn't be able to find the conversation they wanted. The Bateman one was good I thought because it's pretty specific and it was a bit of a time capsule.
I'm open for any suggestions to help you and others enjoy the forum fully, I really want to help members and not appear to be a spoil sport, it's the reason I accepted this job, to help. 👍

mate a one post time capsule would be great, ie. top 8 batmen signs etc and lock it after a post. reckon you get 4 posts... but so much fun

You’re doing a good job. No my comment was more to do with the amount of focus on LB and how every thread inevitably ends up being a discussion about him.
It’s quite funny.

I really was expecting something last friday about the signing of Bateman. Maybe this friday 🤔

None of us know the facts of the negotiations. If he isn't coming, he isn't coming. But the rumours are that his partner is already here in OZ. I am OK with his arrival despite his age and apparent lack of UK Superleague form. I watched his World Cup Games and there is not a better crumber (to use an AFL term) in NRL than Bateman - he is on the ball and wants the ball. He joins us and we have the best pack in the Comp. We just need to sort out the halves. I am OK with Brooks at 5/8. Sheens has a half in mind - if not for 23 but for 24 & 25. The kids will come thru for Benji's first year in 25 - it's called a plan. PS Brooks was never a half in the Junior SOO teams etc - always 2nd fiddle to real halfbacks.
 
Bateman will put the mongrel back in our team even if we only get 1 good year out of him.

Look at Canberra, they went from lowly ratings Sunday afternoon losers to a team that makes finals in bad years mainly because of him. His absence was noted but a harder edge remains.

The way we were losing games this year including rorted after the bell, our team needs to reframe the way it sees itself.

1 good year and the trajectory will be set.

If he did sign would the 10 day cooling off period come in play
