Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The guy is just one of the boys, no doubt he has contacts in the game but you can't take the bloke seriously, he may have said bulldogs as a matter of opinion not fact he might or might not have any inside info. So far everyone who has come out with contacts in the game have overwhelmingly said Moses to Tigers, in truth they could all be wrong it's not ended yet and the Dogs or Parra might get him, but if we're going to rely on sources I think Fletcher should be the last of them. BTW I love the bloke think he's a legend.
If people are willing to take info supplied by people not in the game such as our inside men on this forum, then it seems silly not to take info supplied by people that are in the game.
Additionally, I am slightly amused that people like Johns and Fittler are taken seriously but guys like Hindy and Fletch aren’t. They basically have the same jobs, credentials and carry on the same way.

Plus for supposed idiots/morons Fletch and Hindy often get labelled with they are living the life - and not on a shoestring.

Woods was quoted as saying this the other day!!! Surely he is taking the mickey?

"“You never dump on your employer because it reflects poorly on your character,” Woods told the Herald on Tuesday."

Did he really say that ? People can lack self-awareness so intensely.

That is hilarious.

Remember how confident some of these sources were that we had Latrell Mitchell?! We as fans have been burnt before. I hope we get Moses…but I’m not counting my chickens before they hatch!

My expectation is that we don't sign him. We are desperate for a quality 1, 6 or 7 and I don't think we have juniors coming through that are anywhere near ready for first grade.

We probably need to replace two out of those three but I suppose it starts with getting one quality player in those critical roles.

Ok so let’s just say we miss out on Moses. Who do we go after then?! Dylan Brown, Matt Burton, who else would be a target for those positions coming off contract?! I guess you can try and get one of the roosters boys in Teddy, Manu or Suaailli to play fullback.

That's someone's opinion of KD. Don't take it as gospel. Do you think KD would've left OKC if he didn't want to win a championship? All professional athletes play to win, even the tigers. They choose to play a particular sport based on their love of the game. Well, that's my take on it...
But liken this to Rugby league you see it:
DCE - professional.
Nicho Hynes - likes playing but is far more easy going (still putting in effort above many in our squad).

We saw Gareth Ellis and James Graham ALWAYS put in 100%, likewise Paul Gallen.

Contrast:
Alfie Langer apparently wasn't even thinking of Rugby league one game he was playing. He could be thinking something totally different and yet still come up with the goods for Brisbane. Johns likewise I think played his best when he did not focus on the game too much.

In the age of 1% I don't know if you can have too many players that aren't professional and 100000% into it. Yet I get how an over focus would destroy some players. Glenn Lazarus said this (or maybe another player that went Brisbane way). Wayne Bennett got the pressure levels right with the playing group. Bellamy somehow manages to maintain 1000% intensity without players cracking.

He’s finally learnt something then.

The article at the link is correct that at least one of Hastings, Doueihi and Brooks would leave - it suggested Hastings ahead of season 2023. The same article advises Fox League reported only one of them would stay in 2023. It reports Brooks would be the halfback in 2023 and that the club is chasing Moses and Bateman.

Our recruitment/retention is strategic where previously this didn't appear to be the case.

True, I actually only rate fitter more reliable only because of his affiliation to origin. Once he stops coaching the origin squad he hasn't got anything reckon him and John's are another pack of clowns.
