If he's half the player Minichello was it will solve a lot of our problems.

I'd be looking at Blake Taaffe. He was pretty good in the few games he played as halfback. Off contract after 2023. He does seem like a good organising half!

agreed. him or Dean Hawkins would be a decent acquisition to be our backup half.

I guess Brooks and AD were always going to be the 7 and 6 in 23 unless we jagged Moses and he got a release. Moses signing was a chance but getting a release for 23 was pie in the sky stuff.

So basically as far as 23 goes nothing changes if Moses doesn’t sign, which seems to be the case. So it’s now time to find this organising no7 for 24, who ever it might be because we know Brooks is not that sort of 7.

We have two options, target a kid on the way up or shoot for someone like Williams. Apparently they do have a option B

Pezet has been groomed by Melbourne, doubt they would let him go without a fight. I think his old man played for the Knights? Surely they would have sounded him out about a potentially "homecoming" before chasing Brooks/Hastings. He does have big wraps on him!

Brooks or AD. Whoever is playing the better footy. I don't mind Brooks at 6 as a secondary playmaker on appropriate wages for his output.

I just despise seeing him stink up the joint and destroy us as 7 and being the highest paid by miles

I do. Because Brooks has never controlled a first grade side in 180 games. Brooks has some useful attributes. However, decision making, communication and steering a team around the park are things he's never ever done

You are changing the truth, to suit your narrative, Hastings was told he was not considered to be in the halves, and the Tigers thought Brooks was superior. Brooks was not leaving, as second choice they went for Hastings, twist it anyway you want, but those are the facts. If hastings is still playing in the halve in 2024 i will be surprised.

They wanted WT to chip in for Brooks. They were happy to pay full freight for Hastings.
