All spine spots except for hooker are up for grabs the way I see it.

There’s also a huge reason why neither Laurie or AD have secured contracts elsewhere at this point despite it being public knowledge they’ve not been extended at WT.

I am not sure why Hastings is copping so much on here.

He busted his guts for us and has a genuine footy IQ.

Speed is not a factor IF you give him a 6 who has speed and can play off the cuff footy.

And he will have that in Ponga.

I actually think they will be a great pairing as their skillsets combine well.

I have been a long term Brooks fan on here...watched him since Holy Cross.

But, facts are facts, he can barely string a sentence together and has shown no ability to understand the game. Cooper Cronk commented a couple of years back that Brooks went to the side of the field for an entire set once when our opp had 12 men. Never once went to the side that was short.

I like him, and will always support a Balmain kid.

But anyone expecting Brooksy to develop any sort of game managing IQ in year 10 or so of his career will be disappointed. Yet again.

We need, desperately, to find a game managing half from somewhere. I still can't quite fathom why we did not swap Brooks for big Klem. Finding a running 6 is a hell of a lot easier than a game managing 7, which we once again do not have...

Hastings cops it from the same couple of posters purely because they are Brooks fanatics and think if they bag Hastings it will magically make Luke a better player.

Was at a Xmas party tonight and I ran into a good friend of Michael Maguire man I have so much more respect for him now he got bent over hard by the Tigers and for him not to open his mouth he is a gentleman I wish him all the best and a few bits about Lee ..
Lee mite have to go for the Tigers to succeed

Have to admit Maguire has handled his departure with a lot of class and honour. Old school coach and gentleman. Doff me cap.

I agree with most things you say happy but how can you know what Sheens would have done with Brooks had he remained as coach. Had he coached him for a few years he may have moved him on. I think what has saved Brooks is the fact that he has had 4 coaches in 9 years. Potter for 2 years, Taylor for 2 years, Cleary for 1.5 years and Maguire for 3 and a bit. I bet every one of them thought they could get the best out of him. Cleary did OK with him but the others did nothing and were never in the job long enough to pull the trigger on him. Had Sheens had him for 3 years and he did nothing i think he would have been gone back then.

I'm not saying he would keep him DP ...was simply saying that he was obviously being groomed as a 7 after Lui and then Moltzen's knee issues ......

He handled it well but he also had it coming after years of failure
