Reilly is one of the most ill informed recruitments i have ever seen. How can a kid that played outside back in both league and union, now train as a half in the NRL. That will do me.

This is where Sheens recruitment scares me. Under the covers we are skinn and bone and no muscle. You have 2 halves (and i use AD loosely as a 5/8 as i dont rate him as a 5/8) yet have no back ups. Is he hoping that Benji pulls the boots on again???

You could go get Mason Lino (Wakefield) or Jai Field (Wigan) and pay them more than what they get in Super League to act as your backup for a year.
It scares me how ordinary the production of halves is across the league to be honest.

I’m hardly pumped about the Reilly signing. However he mainly played league growing up and was a highly rated 5/8 for souths Harold Matt’s/ SG Ball. Still only 23, Cody Walker didn’t play first grade until 26, Jamal Fogarty wasn’t a regular until 27.

I disagree, his comments don’t show love for the club but negativity instead. Read what he says and you wlll pick the back handed compliments.

Like it’s been mentioned by a couple others here, we haven’t seen any of our past players trash talk the club.

The Tigers seem to be rolling the dice with a number of signings from different quarters, whether it be young juniors from other clubs, Rugby Union or the UK. With patience and the right coaching, one or two might catch fire. The key is to build a strong culture of unity and professionalism, two aspects sadly lacking at the Tigers over the years.

Someone hit the nail on the head when they said Elias was trying to be relevant at a time when he no longer has any relevance. By responding to his negativity and self righteous comments, we are simply feeding his ego and encouraging him to continue. Best that we all ignore him.

I refer to us as Tigers as well, it's just easier. St George Illawarra dragon-- Either Saints, or dragons/
South Sydney Rabbits-- Souths, or Rabbits, Parra or eels, Panthers, Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs--the dogs. etc It's got nothing to do with the amalgamation of two clubs , donkey years ago. Benny can be a mouth, and the media love him for his over the top comments, so search him out. I just ignore!

If Benny was on the WTF i reckon a good part of 50% on here would loose their lollies over him. Personally I would be questioning his ego yet again.
The problem I have with him the most, is I keep getting this feeling he doesn’t love the club. It would concern me if he got to have any say on the direction our beloved club and the only one I reckon he is trying to help is Mitch coz he’s the main man at the family bbq’s these days.
Just my take on it though.

Likewise.... I often just refer Tigers, or Wests.

The only halves trialling over pre-season are Camroux, Will Smith, Kade Hill and Luke Knight.

We know Smith is just a fringe first-grader who can sometimes do a job; not sure if the others will end up making it.

Knight has joined us from the Roosters and he’s a fullback/half so haven’t seen heaps of him.

I thought Kade Hill was very good this year at Jersey Flegg level.
Not sure if his skill will translate to first grade, as he’s all skin and bones, but he’ll start the year in NSW Cup and go from there.

Have also read a few times that they’re training Reilly as a half, not as an outside back, interestingly enough.

If he is the player I’m thinking of that brought the Roosters back into the contest in the Jersey Flegg final v the knights then he is not a bad pick up.

No point having Bateman run the angles if we don't have the halves to exploit the lines though.
