Roster Breakdown: 2023-2027

and....

That is FINE.

Our biggest battle has been we brought talent for Very good coin that was...
Below average.

I don't need to name the Cleary signings that did not start, nor the Madge signings that were way below their pay grade in performance. (Madge did though sign some great cheaper players.

I mean I would like a great up/n/coming junior. aka the next SBW/Israel/latrell/whatever.
Yet those guys tend to get needy and waste cap space. Were not ready to manage them yet.

These Juniors are fine to add extra for injury cover.
18. Starford To'a
19. Tommy Talau
20. Alex Seyfarth
21. Asu Kepaoa
22. Junior Tupou

The above haven't proven themselves in first grade yet. Hopefully they will step up. Seyfarth has a long way to go to be truly first grade. Yet Benchwarmers they are fine and I hope they up their game to threaten the Big 17.
Those 18-22 players you mentioned crazy are going to benefit from an improved forward pack imo.
In fact we may see a couple of breakaway standout players next year, one of which is Daine Laurie.
I haven't given up on this young lad. Him being young and inexperienced, he didn't get much help from a shambles of a team last season...also had that jnee injury that interrupted his development.
He certainly isn't blameless as he was lost a few times.....but a new coach, another offseason and hopefully a functioning forward pack, he and other backs may shine 🤞

It’s not hard for a FB to stand out. He only needs to bite down on the guard and be making a few try saving tackles. Plenty of opportunity there.

Daine did standout, was our best player in 21’ before injury then had a slow start but was one of our better players under Noddy. I don’t know if he’s a career first grader but he’ll get an opportunity to prove it this year.

I agree, a make or break year for a few. I don’t think it’s a good idea to continually get rid of the best players but that appears to be what we have done in the past. It’s unsettling to the rest of the group when a better player loses his spot, but I don’t know that it contributes to morale.
it would be an enormous boost to the team if Laurie, Brooks and Doueihi all had their best year.

Laurie will be different in 23, he is more an attacking non set style player. Hope he isn’t given a center run that has been floating around would be wasted in the centers.

It will be a miracle to win enough games with a single player, even if we have Marshall as a coach
