The Tigers are being manipulated by one of the best managers around. Love or Hate him..he gets his clients results.
Well it's not that hard. 3-4 teams need a halfback and he's the only decent one around. Jeez if you couldn't get a good deal from that then your incompetent.

Exactly. There is some truth in this comment as well. If we are pushing up the price Parra pays then great.
Your right, that’s the positive, Parra are pushing their cap to breaking point and will effect their buying power for a few years

George Williams the only real option and we would need Wigan to release him, they are filthy about how Bateman played out so don't like our chances.
Moses or bust
He would be a good buy! And much cheaper then Moses I recently seen a video of George Williams training with Luke Thompson from the dogs apparently there in talks to try sign him not sure how accurate that is

Mitchell would be an incredible signing, no doubting his ability. I am not from the school of thought that "if we get him, he's great, or if we don't he's being overpaid"..

Both of those things can be true at once, we have obviously driven the price up for Parra given that negotiations, as far as we know to be true, were legitimate.

Parra still have some holes in their squad, a glaring one at 9 and 11, his and Brown's prices going up make it that little bit harder for them to secure strong talent in those spots, they also still have Brown on their books who they clearly don't want.

Parra might have won the battle for MM, but it has come at a cost.

Would have loved a player with his kicking game, and pace at the club - both areas we are still lacking in, but he's not the last halfback in the world and we know we're in the market for one.

It may not be for 23, but we've been told from Sheens himself, that the reality is 24/25 anwyay.

We are building, I am still happy without Mitchell Moses.

This is our problem with landing the deal, u Hoult to know when to hold them and when to fold them. As I have stated previously we let him and him management hold all the power. The last time we offered the contract it had to be a sign here or we are out!! To much pussyfooting around. I heard the time before it was a last offer contract, then we apparently raised by another year. I t had to be, ‘we will raise it buy a year, but u will be required to sign immediately.
I am kinda glad we didn’t get him as seems a real tool, but.
We keep getting played.

It doesn't always work that way in business negotiations though. Each one is not the same, and there is plenty of water under the bridge here as well.

From my memory, that's exactly how it was handled the first time and the result was him leaving for Parra.

There isn't a one size fits all approach so let's stop pretending there is.

x10. "Take it or leave it" was the strategy that caused Moses to jump ship in the first place.

Some people are deluded thinking that a club with a finals record like the Tigers will ever hold the power in negotiations. Unsuccessful teams will always be fighting an uphill battle to attract talent. Esp right now when it's wooden spooners vs grand finalists.

As soon as more than 1 club is genuinely interested in an established player, then the player and the management hold all the power - by default. You can't game or out-think a player who knows they have many serious suitors.

And - even if we allow ourselves to be involved to the death, there's still the positive outcome that we max out the purchase price for the opposition.

Instead we play back and forth until he gets the price he wants from the team he wants. What’s the point, except driving up the eels prices???

It’s not the size of the dog in the fight...
But the size of the fight in the dog.
Yep, and he’d say, a good big fighter should beat a good little fighter, hence weight divisions. Another was god gave you two hands so use them, and you don’t hit a man while his down, ask if he’s done first, if he says we’re done, help him up. These finer arts seem to have been lost in translation out there these days.

Rubbish, all crap, get your heads out of the clouds. If you believe that it was us giving him the sign it or leave that forced him to jump ship, then u have bigger problems then supporting the tigers!!!
Moses was never staying and was always leaving. He and his uncle were playing us, like they appear to be doing now!
And we’re sitting there like schlepps.

I would absolutely hate for you to be repping my business and selling a new product tbh.

That’s the second best scenario, if we don’t get the player then Parra have to spend a lot more of their cap to keep him.
Also I wouldn’t take Nathan Brown off their hands so it allows them more cash to spend on MM.
I think that our pack is strong enough now and if we do get some injuries then we can bring some of these youngsters up to fill in and give them a taste of NRL, instead of paying for Brown and sending the wrong message about our pathways programme.

Yes that’s all true, what u write. But he is in a team that has won the last two premierships, which makes everything easier! Hard to compare to a guy in a team down the bottom. Remember tamou he had great meters before coming to us!

Maybe he is in a team that won the last two premeirships because of him, maybe that is the whole point.

To'o's stats arent padded because he is in a good side. His metres are hard carries.

Maybe that's why the n Brown deal changed.
