Neither has Doueihi. Doueihi appears to have higher salary expectations than Brooks as well. I reckon in the open market they'd be low tier halves. No other club has signed them for next season and it's not because they don't want their contracts sorted.

Doueihi who missed pre season & half the season returning from an ACL injury... think you placed too much expectations on him.

Joe O was great. Fonua Pole was awesome in his limited role. Laurie had one pearler of a game. Doueihi had a pearler for 1/2 game. Brooks was decent when he was running out wide and playing a limited role.
There weren't many positives last year.
Not everyone mate.
One thing is for sure :

I agree with you. My expectations were too high. I viewed him as the guy most likely to do something positive for us.
The question is though did his performances have anything at all to do with his ACL injury. He hasn't performed consistently well in any position and we aren't sure what his best position is.

That’s not entirely fair - he has other kicks (grubber into the opposition legs, innocuous ‘bomb’ straight to opposition fullback 30m out etc)
I don't know how you can state that Douehi has higher wage expectations that Brooks. Brooks gets paid DOUBLE what Douehi gets
Mate that's bull. In 2021 prior to the ACL injury he was killing it at 5/8 and was our best by miles

What is bull ? Are you stating that his poor performance last year was definitely due to his ACL injury or was his performance last year good ? Do you think his performances in 2021 were good enough ?
I am honestly not sure who is the better player out of the two of them.
I reckon I've been one of his biggest fans but he hasn't owned a spot yet and that is in our team. He also couldn't own a spot at Souths.
Don't get me wrong when he played that pearler of a half against Brisbane I was stating how good he is. I've never seen Brooks play that well. Overall though I think Brooks was heaps better last season.
Thats true. He sometimes does do those.
