Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

and now.

There is Zero way you are getting Jesse + Kenneth Bromwich, Felise Kaufusi, Mark Nichols, the Dolphins have an impressive front row.

Spine is Marshall + Sean O'Sullivan + Anthony Milford + Jaymayne Isakko

Add Hammer and others, The dolphins have a great squad that they would be no where near getting without Wayne Bennett.

Yes they did not sign Munster, etc. They will sign a "gun". Wayne is building his sides right. I expect them to be top 8 minimum.
They won’t have the depth to make the 8

Can't remember who said it, if it's true there's a meeting with Moses and Sheens+Benji that would be good news for us. Talks don't go this long just to say no at a face to face meeting.

But then this whole rumour seems to be based around something said in the Dogs forum, which I wouldn't believe for a moment. Anyone hear anything that wasn't just from the kennel?

If Wayne can get Dolphins to finals with that spine, it will be one of the greatest coaching achievements in the history of the NRL...

All I know that with our best prospective halves being 15-16 now that we need a senior half to take the reins and show them the way for the next 4-5 years. Moses is the best senior halfback off contract this year and even possibly even next year.

100% look at the teams That went out and purchased experienced half cowboys and broncos both improved out of site

Look at the teams who got rid of experienced halfs knights and titans both went so far backwards

Mitch is just what we need plays the perfect style if attacking football sheens and benji will be looking for

We have the forwards. Need a good half. Moses is the best of the available options and junior halfbacks need years developing even after they have debuted.

If talks are continuing & people are meeting face to face then it’s sounds like it’s still game on

Re the $7m over 5yrs so $1.4m per year all the talk prior was that included 3rd party deals, if that’s the case then he won’t be getting $1.4m on the cap.

People have also said if someone throws a $7m deal its a no brainer just sign it. It is if everything is actually arranged and signed from the offer side. There has been a constant with the talks that 3rd party deal’s weren’t actually locked in from both ours and parra side mixed with the cba could be why everything has taken a longer time than expected.

People have said don’t get MM at that price because he won’t win a GF. Who knows if that will come true or not but our team with MM we have a higher chance of being in a position to contest for one than the current alternative options contesting for 9th spot does. I do agree $1.4m is overs for Mitch especially knowing we are going to need cap room for some of the best juniors going around if Sheens is right but reports are the cap over next few years is going to continue to increase unless the CBA offsets the increases into off field support costs hence why the CBA & 3rd party deals is important in such a big deal.

You make a couple of very valid points but I'm still not keen on having that maggot scum bag back with us.

I suppose we could always honour him by naming one of the toilet cubicles at Leichhardt Oval after him, which shows how much respect I have for the low life.

Great squad? The forward pack is experienced but on the decline. The Storm needed a fresh start in the forwards to be honest.

That spine makes ours look like the Panthers spine last year. Terrible.

No depth either. Favourites for the spoon no doubt.

I don't care if we get him or not but I love the fact if the Dogs have withdrawn (which makes sense) then buzz 'dont know anything' drunkard Rothfield is wrong again. Didn't he say the Dogs were favourites? Gutter bias journalism targeting teams he doesn't like.

But ST remember the journalists creed,
" Never let the truth get in the way of a good headline".

Reckon the Dragons have gone to favourites for the spoon with the Amone issues and Ramsay gone for the year ......

Your first four words are most pertinent, especially in regards to the previous couple of posts from @finnzo.

Will never be overly keen on Moses again for other reasons, and he is the ultimate flat track bully. Still, he is though perfectly suited behind a decent forward pack, which should be very much the case this season onwards for WT, and is easily the best halves option on the market.
