Trivia Question of the Day

Not a tennis buff but is it Wimbledon, Aussie, French, US Opens?
Yes it is.
If you win all of them in the one year, it’s called a Calendar Slam.
Very rare. One bloke did it in the 30’s and Laver did it twice in the 60’s. Never been done again although Federer twice made all 4 finals, winning 3 as did Djokovic.
In the women, 3 of them did it including Margaret Court and Steffi Graff.

Just to add to this trivia, in the late 70’s a third surface was introduced….Us Open Hardcourt. That meant to get the Calendar Slam, you had to master three surfaces
Aussie - Grass
French - Clay
Wimbeldon - Grass
US - Hardcourt
Note that the Aussie has now become Hardcourt as well.
Only one player managed the Calendar Slam on all three surfaces…Steffi Graff.
