If they had a meeting today to sign paperwork I highly doubt it would be announced today. Proper thing to do is to let him go back to the Eels and inform them of his decision and let them create the narrative.

He has to be committed to the Eels for 23 and the Eels need to create that media report.

Tigers will jump on it when the timing is right. Only spanner in the world is if if they are pushing for 23 and need to work out trade scenarios.

The good thing about that is, while you wait for the official news you can share scone recipes with like minded people. Maybe complain about cars with loud exhausts and how summers were better in your day.
