Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

If trials are used to measure your depth and give a chance for players to put some pressure on your first string side - based on our performance so far compared to that of other clubs, we are in for another long year. Not sure what to expect from the next trial - just hope it's better.
I agree with many here that trials are not going to give an accurate read on the team but also agree with this post. If we’ve got such good juniors we didn’t show it against the warriors the other night. Every other trial I’ve watched looked streets ahead of our game. Hopefully it means nothing and next weeks game fills us with some optimism

Benji has met with RTS personally. You heard it here first.

Moses announcement has taken longer than I thought, but he is still a certainty to stay at Eels, he's not going anywhere.

Bula is seen as the real deal, he is already seen as the successor to Laurie at fullback, and a new deal is already seen as unlikely for Staines.

I would be surprised if a single person cares for what you write.

Honestly if we don't start to defend it won't matter who we have as halfback. Havnt even thought of Moses for a few days.
Exactly

Look a trial is a trial game. Maybe Sheens is playing the "we need to lose now" to toughen people up... but after last year, we did not need that.

It's not Alarm bells yet, as it is a trial game. Clearly though we folded like a stack of cards.

Our Board is actually really good at running a club, sadly they are not Football minded. I hope Sheens realises that Defence not passing 200 times a day was the problem last year.
Furner + Farah can solve the Defensive issues, Even Sheens can teach defensive structures. Yet Sheens rarely does as a coach. Cmon Sheensy, prove the doubters wrong and have us win a game X-nill.

Yeh, agree most of those players were not at the level needed.

If bula is seen as the real deal how come we are looking to a sign rts?

When’s he signing
Why do the Roosters have a collection of star fullbacks? Bula seen as good enough to edge out Staines, but you don't pass up RTS just because you have Bula.
Question the Benji RTS meeting all you want, fact is it happened.
Did Nofa Join the dragons last week as you said he would ?

Blore didn’t play.

Was training in the rehab group as of a couple weeks ago, so not sure if he’s recovered from whatever niggling injury he’s got.
Thanks mate, I just figured Talau had a run after not playing for nearly 18 months, Blore would be the same, maybe he might get a few minutes the next trial.
