Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I reckon one way or another there will be an announcement the weeks following the trials. Either the first week or the week just prior to the season starting.

Latest guess from the DT

MITCHELL MOSES

The Parramatta half-back’s contract talks have been one of the stories of the summer but the saga is close to reaching a conclusion. Only last week, Moses said he was keen to have a decision over his future made before round one.

That gives him two weeks to make a call on whether to stay at Parramatta or make the move to his former club, the Wests Tigers. The Tigers have offered more money but the Eels would appear to offer more stability.

Moses is expected to sit down with his agent Isaac Moses in the near future to make the biggest call of his career.

Likely destination: Parramatta have edged back in front of the Tigers

Interestingly from the same article is this about Herbie Farnworth , who the same newspaper said was staying at Broncos 3 weeks ago …

HERBIE FARNWORTH AND THOMAS FLEGLER

Farnworth and Flegler have both spoken openly about their desire to remain in Brisbane but that hasn’t stopped rival clubs asking the question of the pair.

Both are believed to be in the sights of the Dolphins while Manly have tabled a monster deal for the Queensland State of Origin forward.

Brisbane have a fight on their hands to keep both.

Likely outcome: Flegler stays but Farnworth goes

WTs aren’t mentioned but that’s possibly because the cone of silence is activated .

It seems quite obvious that MM has not already re-signed with Parramatta as he is strongly considering Wests Tigers offer.
He’s openly stated he wants to be at a club that can challenge for the title, so you could assume he wants to see how well Wests Tigers play with the new look line up, before making his decision based on whether or not he thinks we have improved enough to challenge for the title in the near future.
Personally I think there is no doubt MM could improve the side, but do not think he will be worth the rumoured 1.3 million per season in a couple of years time when he starts to slow down with age, considering his speed off the mark has always been one of his strong points.

Isaac Moses waiting until we extend Brooks before pulling the rug from under us and getting Mitch to re-sign with Parra.

Told us we needed to strengthen our forward pack to have any chance of signing Mitch (Klemmer and Bateman, 2 x Moses’ clients) and extend Brooks (another Moses client) because that was the big draw card for Mitch to come here.

Moses 2 Wests Tigers 0.

That’s the only thing which could possibly put him in two minds?
Moses has reached his career best on the park and while he could do with the extra $2m we’ve offered, he would be unsure about the sacrifice?
Does a WT contract also put an extra $150k in his manager’s pocket?

😂 his manager is making us a better team? Maybe we should sign him?
